As you get deeper and deeper into D2R world, you'll be needing a lot of gold to buy potions, gear, and other items. The original game predicted we'd be smart-asses and store our gold in the stash, so we would lose stashed gold after death, but in Diablo II: Resurrected, we can store the gold in the shared stashes, and it won't be removed!
