Dear exiles, Path of Exile: The Forbidden Sanctum is coming soon. Today I will share KobeBlackMamba's Top 6 Starter Builds with you. His videos about PoE 3.20 builds are all useful. Now let's begin.
Top 3 League Starters
1. Ignite EK
Levels as Wave of Conviction Ignite to Progress Atlas.
Switches into Ignite EK after acquiring base items (Full Phys to Cold Conversion, Fire Exposure on Hit, Skin of the Loyal, and Gloomfang)
Can End up reaching DoT Cap DPS with enough investment.
Extremely fast mapping speed due to Ignite, Herald Explosions, and Explode Bow.
Best Simulacrum Farmer due to its coverage and ignite proliferation.
Potential to go Shield and Wand/Spectre and have access to Shield Charge.
2. Venom Gyre Deadeye
Even with the Elusive/Nightblade Nerf, I still think Venom Gyre has enough damage to do all of the content.
Vaal Venom Gyre could be a gamechanger if it is anything as broken as Vaal Lightning Strike. Maybe an overall buff.
It is an amazing build for finishing all 4 Voidstones.
It is one of the best mappers in the game due to the sheer amount of chaining projectiles and the ability to do damage while moving.
It is great for league mechanics, as you can do damage while using whirling blades.
3. Cold Dot
Cold Dot is a much-underrated build in terms of how people think of its endgame DPS potential.
Can reach DoT cap of around 35M+ DPS, which will trivialize Uber Bosses.
Bossing is easy due to the chill effect and constant damage over time.
It is great for league mechanics, as you can focus on dodging.
Can finish the voidstones with almost no gear requirements due to the base damage of skill.
Final Thoughts
These builds are all great mappers and have the min-max potential to trivialize all content with enough investment.
Make sure to choose a league starter that fits your goal. (Seismic Trap for Boss Carries)
Most importantly, make sure you like the playstyle of your build.
Why Recommend These 3 Starter Builds
1. Vaal Venom Gyre
Vaal Venom Gyre instantly grants you 50 Blades and creates an 8-seconds duration buff.
During this duration, you will regenerate around 20 Blades/second.
Your blade cap is increased from 30 to 50.
Vaal skill solves one of the main issues with Venom Gyre, which is a subpar single target before you get your blades.
If you use it with Vaal Sextant, you can potentially clear the map by just spamming Whirling Blades).
2. New Unique Ring
New Topaz Ring allows your projectiles to return to you at the cost of your projectiles firing in random directions.
This doubles the damage from the blades that come out when you use whirling blades.
The downside of the ring is mitigated by the fact that Venom Gyre fires out so many projectiles. (Similar to taking the Eldritch Altar.)
3. Omniscience Price
All of the recommended league starters do not use Omniscience as they are poison/ignite-based.
The most popular build was Lightning Strike Champion/Raider, and everyone thinks this build is completely dead.
There will be low demand for Omniscience, leading to a lower price than before.
Attack-based Trinity Elemental builds will not be as popular as the last league.
4. Smooth Leveling
Most people think the build will be near impossible to level after the Spectral Helix Nerf.
Level 1-12 with Splitting Steel
Level 12-End of Campaign with Poisonous Concoction
Swap to Venom Gyre after finishing the campaign.
Super smooth leveling and Poisonous Concoction are the new Spectral Helix.
Final Thoughts
My league starter for 3.20 because it will feel like a new skill with Vaal Venom Gyre.
The best Vaal Skill comes out of the ones being released in 3.20.
The Insane Mapping Build has a great leveling experience and transition into maps/voidstones/endgame farming.
Venom Gyre may be even better than the last league because the Vaal Skill is amazing for a single target burst.
Top 3 Builds for Mapping
1. Poisonous Concoction
This build can be played on Occultist or Pathfinder (Occultist for Profane Bloom is better for clear speed)
Can eventually transition into BF/BB. Blade Vortex, or Death's Oath, so you have options for Bossing.
This build revolves around Plague Bearer, and you shield charge around and only use Poisonous Concoction to refill your Plague Bearer.
This build has single target issues and is not suited for Ubers unless you fully invest into it with Clusters and + Gem Level gear.
Very Smooth Atlas Progression and can easily farm Delirium Content.
This build requires almost zero gear.
2. Boneshatter Slayer
This build lost some of its mapping potentials because of the removal of the Strike Mastery granting 30% Range.
However, this is still one of the fastest mappings builds that requires almost zero gear to finish Voidstones and farm maps with a finished Atlas.
You can choose to be Slayer or Juggernaut.
Tanky due to Slayer Overleech, Fortify Gem, and 10% Reduced Damage While Leeching.
You cannot really do Uber Bosses unless you have super crazy gear and great boss mechanics.
This is one of the fastest leveling builds in the game.
3. Corrupting Fever Champion
This is a fast mapping build that relies on Haemophilia Gloves for Explode.
This build struggles for Single Target and is heavily reliant on Cluster Jewel for damage.
Tanky build due to Champion Fortify, Adrenaline, Aura Effect, and Max Res Nodes.
It uses Wand, so you have Shield Charge for spammable movement skills in Maps.
Transitions into the best Magic Find Build in the game.
It might need to buy carries for Voidstones.
It utilizes Reap and Corrupting Fever for a Single Target.
Final Thoughts
Venom Gyre should be in the top 3.
Every single one of these builds has single target problems and relies on some form of exploding for clarity.
Explode is nearly unbeatable for clear, allowing for screen-wide clears.
Buying Voidstone Carries is a great idea that allows these mappers to take advantage of using all sextants.
Make sure you do not prioritize Uber Bossing when you choose these builds to league start.
