Looking for the best Elden Ring bleed build? Bleed is a status effect in Elden Ring, which applies an extra burst of damage to enemies after a few hits. Bleed Builds have become more powerful since Patch 1.04 came out on April 19. Some of the Arcane items were nerfed to the ground, but some strong Elden Ring weapons are even more powerful in the new updates. Here MmoGah.com will go over the best Bleed Weapons, Talisman& Skills, and how to get them.

Bleed's Working Principle

Bleed doesn't work with all weapons, so you need to have a weapon that specifically causes a buildup of blood loss or is buffed with an Incantation like Bloodflame Blade. Every time you strike a target with a weapon that has the bleed effect, you will fill up a blood loss meter. Once the meter is completely full, the blood loss effect will activate, dealing with the target instant Hemorrhage damage. Damage done through blood loss depends on the target's maximum hit points. It does not accumulate over time like poison, and it has no effect on your speed or anything else.

Bandit's Curved Sword

The Bandit's Curved Sword applies the bleed blood loss. What makes this weapon so powerful? It has really good scaling & base damage and heavily benefits from Arcane scaling when changing to a cult or even dexterity. Still, most important, if your power stands them and you essentially have four attacks into one on the running L1 and the jumping L1. For example, the Twinblades are better in terms of having more outright damage but not better at applying bleed, so that's why I abandoned them in favor of the curved swords.

Here are some of the highlights that you can perform. Using high Arcane 65 in this case plus occult scaling and having to seppuku on dealt the highest amount of damage with these two swords while under the effect of the seppuku. The downside is that if the Ash of War's effect falls off or the fight drags on, you won't have the chance to reapply it. You can not deal with blood loss anymore, so that can be a huge loss, in which case, you're going to have two options. The worst one is to change it to bleed, and you will perform a ton of blood loss and lose a ton of damage on the weapons.

This weapon is dropped from Skeletons that are wielding it. One such Skeleton can be found directly outside the Church of Pilgrimage in the Weeping Peninsula. Facing the door to the church, the Skeleton is found in the graveyard area to the left.

Rivers of Blood

Rivers of Blood is a late-game weapon with a remarkable skill that quickly inflicts the bleed effect. It has a blood loss buildup of 66. You can get this weapon as a drop from Bloody Finger Okina close to the Church of Repose.

Some players said that Rivers of Blood feel worse in the new updates, but I don't think so. The primary reason why Rivers of Blood was amazing wasn't necessarily the bleed animation, and it was the actual Ash of War ability on it, which hasn't changed in the new updates. It still deals high damage and does a good job at kind of like stacking enemies, animation, or staggering them, and you still apply to bleed at the same rate as before.

How to Get the Rivers of Blood?

It is found in the late-game area Mountaintops of the Giants. Once you've gained access to this biome through the main quest chain, you'll find the Church of Repose in the southeast of the map. As you approach the church, you'll be invaded by an NPC named Bloody Finger Okina, so it's your job to take it from him. Once you've defeated the invader, you're rewarded with the Rivers of Blood katana and the Okina Mask.

Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear

This is a Great Spear in Elden Ring. It scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane, which inflicts Physical and Fire damage in the form of Pierce Attacks. However, the weapon skill speed was too slow to keep up with other weapons. Fortunately, patch 1.04 lists an increase in casting speed, but honestly, this weapon was already in the god tier, so having that amazing spell being cast even faster. It means that it will be better than before.

How to Get the Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear Buff?

You can obtain this weapon from the Remembrance of the Blood Lord that you can get by defeating Mohg, Lord of Blood, in the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum.

Scavenger's Curved Sword

It is quite useful for melee users who want to make heavy hits at a short range. It scales perfectly with Strength and Dexterity.

How to Get the Scavenger's Curved Sword?

To find this curved sword, the players need to make their way toward Mt. Gelmir. Once you reach this location, you can find the curved sword on a corpse situated closest to the ladder.

Bloodflame Talons

The bleed build has become a lot more versatile and varied, and there's an option to build around the Bloodflame Talons. In the new updates, this is an excellent skill. Now its cast speed increases as you do an explosion that interrupts enemies, and the bleed interrupts itself, so you can literally stun-lock an enemy before it gets a chance to do anything, assuming that you can fully release it at once. This stacks up for thousands of damage.

How to Get the Bloodflame Talons?

You can get them by defeating Mohg, the Omen, at the Subterranean Shunning Grounds in Leyndell Royal Capital.

Bloody Helice

This is a heavy thrusting sword in the game, and you can scale using the arcane and dexterity. It has a unique skill, Dynast's Finesse, which will help you avoid the enemy's attacks and follow up with a strong attack. You can upgrade it using the somber smithing stone to increase the blood loss buildup. This weapon is good for dealing with piercing damage along with the blood loss buildup.

How to Get the Bloody Helice?

You will need to head to Writheblood Ruins to find the Bloody Helice. The ruins are located in Altus Plateau.

Elden Ring Items (Armor and Talisman)

Using the White Mask and Lord of Blood's Exultation can get insane amounts of bonus damage and increase your attack power when blood loss occurs nearby.

How to Get the Lord of Blood's Exultation?

This Talisman can be obtained by killing Esgar, Priest of Blood, inside the Leyndell Catacombs.
