With significant updates and the introduction of the Spiritborn class, the meta has shifted, making it crucial to choose the right class to maximize your gameplay experience. Luckily, Rhykker provided a tier list on his YouTube channel to help you decide which one to play this Season. Whether you're aiming for the fastest clears, the highest damage output, or simply the most fun, this guide has got you covered.  Diablo 4 Season 6 Class Tier List – Which One to Play

Rating Criteria

The ranking criteria are about how classes perform in three verticals. The first is how good they are against bosses, especially Tormented Bosses for farming up Uniques and Mythics; the second is speed farming, which is how they perform when doing content with easy difficulty, like Helltide or low-level Pits; the third criterion is for pushing the hardest content in the game. In Rhykker's tier list, classes in the S tier are the ones that have multiple builds to select from and perform well in all three criteria we've mentioned.

D Tier

Barbarian

For speed farming, Barbarian has a wide variety of viable builds for doing easy content quickly, like the Spin2Win Whirlwind build, Hammer of the Ancients, Rend, Double Swing Twister build, and Leapquake. But when it comes to pushing harder content, Barbarian lags behind other classes. The only option Barbarians have for pushing in Season 6 is the Mighty Throw Barbarian, but it may not stand toe-to-toe with the best builds in the game, which is the same case with boss fights. Barbarians lack the damage output of other classes and struggle to defeat bosses as quickly. But at least, on top of Mighty Throw now, you got the Bash Barbarian, who has really good single-target damage, which can be another option.

Druid

Barbarian has good speed farming options and is bad at doing difficult content, but Druid is kind of mediocre at everything. It does have one really good bossing build - landslide Druid, but for speed farming content, Druid doesn't keep up with the other classes. Landslide might be good at single-target fighting, but it doesn't hold up as well in speed farming. For speed farming, you can go with Pulverize, Hurricane, Lightning Storm Shred, or even Boulder. They're all viable, but they're not going to beat other classes. As for the hardest content in the game, Druid can't keep up just like Barbarian, but Druid does have more options here, like Landslide, Boulder, and Hurricane. You can even go with a companion Druid.

C Tier

We have no class in the C tier, which shows how far behind Druid and Barbarian are.

B Tier

Rogue

Regarding speed farming, Rogue is an excellent class with many options, like Barrage and Heartseeker for ranged Rogue, Shadow Step, and the new Spin2Win Dance of Knives. However, the melee Rogue is lagging behind. For pushing as far as possible, Dance of Knives is a good build. A step behind will be a bunch of different bow builds for Rogue, but Dance of Knives will be the star of this Season. What Rogue struggles the most this Season is with bossing. The strength of Dance of Knives Rogue isn't single-target fight, so it doesn't suit the bossing.

A Tier

Necromancer

Necromancer is able to put out arguably the strongest single hit in the game. If you want to deal a nuke's damage in one hit, Necromancer is the build you should choose, Bone Spirit specifically. Besides, Spirit Wave Necromancer has emerged as another super strong build, which is also really fun. So, these are two really solid bossing options. To push the hardest content, in addition to these two builds, we also have the Soulrift build, and the classic Blood Wave build. Necromancers are getting a new Ultimate, Soulrift, with patch 2.0, which is kind of close to the Bone Storm of the D3.

Necromancer is probably the class with the most number of powerful options for pushing deep into the pit. But why is it only an A tier? Unfortunately, in terms of speed farming, the Necromancer remains slow compared to the fastest builds in the game. But anyway, Soul Rift, Spirit Wave, and Blood Wave will be decent options for builds here.

Sorcerer

For bossing, Sorcerer can go with Lightning Spear or the new build using Elemental Constellation, which is a new aspect. Casting Pyromancy, Shock, and Frost Skills conjures a matching Elemental Dagger around you that pierces through enemies, dealing damage after 3 seconds. The damage increases by 100% per matching Elemental skill you cast. You're basically going to focus on maximizing your Elemental Constellation, and then, you can get a really powerful single target build.

Elemental Constellation is great for single-target fights but terrible for speed farming. Luckily, we have plenty of other speed-farming options to accompany Lightning Spear. You can go with Fireball, Chain Lightning, or Frozen Orb. But when it comes to pushing the pit, Lightning Spear is the only top contender for Sorcerer, which is still the S tier build, but that's the Sorcerer's only option for pushing in the pit, which is why the class itself is not in the S tier.

S Tier

Spiritborn

Undoubtedly, our number one class of season 6 is the new class - Spiritborn. No matter what you are doing, Spiritborn has multiple good builds. The builds with the highest output in terms of pushing the pit and against bosses include the Quill Volley Eagle build, which might be the best build in the entire game now, and the Touch of Death Centipede build. When it comes to speed farming, you have the Crushing Hand Gorilla build as an option. Quill Volley is also excellent at everything.

Spiritborn is probably the class where we'll see the most surprises. It might have even more top builds in the future. So, if you want to pick a single class for season 6, you cannot go wrong with Spiritborn.
