Gear & Aspects

To fully unlock the potential of the Quill Volley Spiritborn build in Diablo 4, you'll need a precise combination of Diablo 4 items and aspects that synergize with your abilities. Each piece of equipment plays a critical role in maximizing your damage output and resource management. Below are the essential Diablo 4 items you need to dominate the battlefield with this build:

  • Rod of Kepeleke: This unique item allows your core skills to also act as basic skills, casting for free but with reduced damage. However, when cast at maximum Vigor, your core skills will consume all your Vigor to restore full damage, increase the skill's range, guarantee critical strikes, and gain an additional 3% critical damage for each Vigor spent. This effect is so powerful that you'll want to trigger it with every cast of Quill Volley, requiring you to reach maximum resource every time you attack.

  • Ring of Midnight Sun: This ring restores 50% of the Vigor you've spent in the past 2 seconds and boosts resource generation by 100%, doubling the Vigor restoration to 100%. This ensures you regenerate full Vigor with each attack, allowing the Rod of Capala effect to trigger with every hit.

  • Banished Lord’s Talisman: Guarantees that your next core skill will Overpower after spending 275 points of primary resource. Since you always spend all your resource due to the Rod of Capala, you'll need to push your maximum resource to 275 to guarantee an Overpower on every Quill Volley cast. Additionally, the 275 resource requirement is reduced by the base cost of your core skill, lowering the threshold to 240.

  • Resolve: Typically provides 20% damage reduction when you have stacks, which are consumed when you take direct damage. However, when paired with the Colossal Glyph, this also becomes a huge damage multiplier, turning defensive buffs into offensive and defensive boons.

  • Aspect of Redirected Force: This aspect provides a substantial damage multiplier based on your block chance, and this multiplier doubles when you successfully block. To maximize its effect, you'll want to stack as much block chance as possible, ensuring not only permanent uptime on Redirected Force but also greatly enhancing your survivability.

Skill Tree

  • Vortex: This skill groups enemies together, allowing you to hit all of them with your Quill Volley.

  • Ravager: The upgraded Ravager skill teleports you to your target and increases Vigor generation, helping to quickly trigger the Rod of Capala effect.

  • Armored Hide: Provides Unstoppable status, generates Resolve, and increases block chance for greater survivability.

  • Counterattack: This skill doesn't need to be placed on your skill bar, but passively boosts your damage for every nearby enemy.

  • Potent Furnace: An incredibly strong damage multiplier, and one of these effects should be present on your amulet to further boost your damage.

  • Hunter Ultimate: Acts as both a gap closer and a finishing move, also capping your Ferocity Charges to increase your attack speed.

  • Prodigious Tempo: The Rod of Capala allows you to use both core and basic skills with one skill, meaning the dual benefits of this passive are always active. It increases skill ranks and reduces all cooldowns every third cast of Quill Volley.

Paragon Board

  • Starting Board: Use the Fulminate Glyph, which provides a significant damage boost through additive and multiplicative scaling.

  • Second Board: Choose the Convergence Board paired with the Talon Glyph to enhance your damage output.

  • Third Board: Combine the Viscous Shield Board with the Spirit Glyph to boost both your survivability and damage.

  • Fourth Board: Opt for the Sapping Board and Cubis Glyph to improve resource generation and sustain in combat.

  • Final Glyphs: On your last Paragon board, use the Revealing Glyph and Colossal Glyph to ensure a perfect balance between offense and defense.

This Quill Volley build not only delivers massive damage but also sustains you through a combination of defensive boosts and resource regeneration, making it one of the most powerful Spiritborn builds in Diablo 4 Season 6!
