If you want to prepare for Season 7 of New World Aeternum, this guide is for you. The developers have shared some insights about what to expect, and with this information, you can position yourself better for day one of the new season. Here are some key tips and tricks:

New World Aeternum Season 7

Weapon Matrices

The new season will be eight new artifacts, seven of which are weapons. Upgrading these artifacts to level 725 can be costly, so it's important to start preparing now. Weapon matrices will be crucial for upgrading artifact weapons, and their demand and value will increase significantly in the first weeks of Season 7. Start stockpiling these now to stay ahead. To upgrade artifact weapons to level 725, everyone will need a weapon matrix. This means the value and demand for weapon matrices will significantly increase during the first week or two of Season 7. Additionally, to prepare your characters, you will need a handful of gypsum orbs, chromatic seals, and either a gold curs coconut or a gorgonite inductor. Given that seven out of the eight new artifacts are weapons, it's crucial to start stockpiling weapon matrices now, as their value will rise due to the new weapons that players will want to test out.

Chromatic Seals

We are currently in a great position with the Winter Warrior event. By gathering winter tokens and talking to the yeti in Winter Wonderland locations, you can pick up free chromatic seals every three days. Keep doing this to stockpile enough seals for Season 7, allowing you to upgrade artifacts easily.

If you prefer not to participate in the event, you can buy chromatic seals from the faction rep in any town. This will cost faction tokens and 5,000 gold, but it's a viable alternative. Additionally, you can purchase five gypsum orbs daily from the faction rep to help create more weapon matrices and prepare for the upcoming artifacts.

Enhanced Rewards for M3's

Another major tip for Season 7 of New World is that M3 expeditions will offer significantly better rewards. Currently, completing M3s doesn't yield much, but in Season 7, you'll start receiving rare materials that can be used for further crafting, making it much more worthwhile.

To take full advantage of these new rewards, ensure you have a PVE set ready to hit the ground running on day one of Season 7. This preparation will help you maximize the benefits from the improved M3 rewards.

Weekly Gorgon Runs

I recommend running the Hive of Gorgon raid once a week. This raid offers incredible rewards and valuable perks that you can add to your armor or weapons, making M3s easier. Additionally, most mutated expeditions have unique troop types, so it's important to prepare accordingly.

Major Combat Trophies

Expeditions have unique troop types, so it's important to have specific combat trophies to deal more damage to those enemy types. For example, farming the Ban's open world boss can yield glowing sap shards, which can be combined to create a glowing sap piece. This piece allows you to craft a major angry Earth trophy, enabling you to deal 5% more damage to angry Earth mobs, making M3 Genesis Expeditions much easier for DPS users.

Leveling Crafting Skills

Many players, including the developers, have acknowledged that the crafting systems in New World Aeternum are currently underwhelming. The main reason crafting might be worthwhile is if you manage to obtain a gorgonite schematic, which allows you to craft 725 gear score bind-on-equip items that can be sold for significant profits. Otherwise, crafting armor matrices and other items can generate some New World Aeternum gold, but it's not as rewarding as it could be.

The developers have hinted at improvements to the crafting system, although these changes are not expected in Season 7 but are in development. Therefore, it's important to keep an eye on your crafting trade skills and gradually work on them. While it's not urgent, it's beneficial to grind them out over time to be prepared for future updates that might come in Season 8, Season 9, or later.
