As players progress in Path of Exile 2 and complete their Atlas, a critical question arises: how can they maximize the potential of their Atlas points to get more PoE 2 currency? With a robust Atlas setup, players unlock opportunities to enhance rewards, optimize map efficiency, and make the most of their endgame farming.

In this guide, we'll break down the key strategies for farming in the Endgame Atlas, highlight the most impactful nodes to prioritize, and explore methods to increase currency drops. Whether you're a seasoned player or just stepping into the Atlas endgame, these tips will help refine your approach and elevate your gameplay.

Endgame Atlas for Farming in PoE 2

Let's dive into the Endgame Atlas strategies for farming. This discussion focuses on setups when you have around 40 out of 40 Atlas points or something close to it. Achieving 40 points feels essential at this stage, as it allows you to unlock the most critical nodes for efficient farming.

Endgame Atlas for Farming in PoE 2

Key Nodes to Prioritize

Initially, head upwards to take Treasure Cores, Remnants of Power, Precursor Influence, and Enigmatic Intensifications. These nodes are particularly beneficial.

• Treasure Coves: It enhances the quantity and quality of magic and rare chests, significantly increasing map rewards. It is ideal for players focusing on chest drops, helping them obtain more rare items and currency in PoE 2.

• Precursor Influence: It significantly boosts your chances of dropping tablets, which are crucial for "juicing" your maps. Using these tablets constantly in towers is a reliable approach to enhancing map rewards.

• Remnants of Power: it offers a 20% chance for double effects on tablets within your maps, improving the quantity and quality of rewards.

• Enigmatic Intensifications: it can enhance explicit modifiers on waystones for each tower affecting the map area. Rolling at least three towers ensures high bonuses, making this node incredibly valuable.

Local Knowledge: This node should be chosen cautiously, as it works well in specific biomes like Grass, Swamp, or Water; it should be pretty good. On the other hand, going to other biomes, such as mountains or deserts, will lower the amount of currency. It's possible to respect in and out of it, but this can be a hassle, so plan accordingly.

Waystone Modifier Effect: It's also pretty nice, we could avoid taking those two passives, but I think they're worth it because there are not a lot of small passives that we can take.

Unstable Energies: another vital node that amplifies prefix and suffix modifiers on waystones by 25%. Prefixes improve map bonuses such as rarity, quantity, and pack size, while suffixes might increase map difficulty. Ensure your build can handle the challenges that suffixes pose to maximize currency generation.

Grueling Journey: Additionally, going down, I recommend nodes that focus on explicit modifiers, like Grueling Journey and nearby waystone-related nodes. Explicit modifiers are among the best ways to enhance maps. While some rarity-focused nodes offer minor benefits (e.g., 3% increased rarity), they’re not as impactful compared to explicit modifiers.

Fortunate Path: Going to the left, consider taking Fortunate Path, which provides a 100% increased rarity of waystones found on maps. This helps save currency by reducing the need for items like regals and exalted orbs to enhance modifiers. Furthermore, Item Quantity-related nodes may be considered, though explicit modifiers typically offer more reliable value.

The High Road: It can offer higher-tier waystones for progression, though it's mainly beneficial early on. As most drops are already tier 15, focus on farming at this tier for efficiency. Heading towards the left side of the Atlas, prioritize Rising Danger, which increases rare monsters on maps by 50%. This node is a mandatory pick for enhancing farming effectiveness.

Secondary Nodes to Prioritize

Please move to the left, there is another part of the Atlas, which is, in my opinion, pretty important.

Rising Danger: Maximizing rare monsters in your maps is key to increasing valuable loot drops. Rare monsters are the primary source of valuable items in the game, and increasing their quantity positively impacts other mechanics, such as Bridge encounters. To achieve this, prioritize Rising Danger, which boosts the rare monster count by 15%. With additional nodes: Rare Packs that offer a 5% increase, the total reaches 20%, providing a significant advantage in loot generation.

Twin Threats: another noteworthy node is Twin Threats, which duplicates one rare monster in your maps. While not groundbreaking, it’s a more impactful choice compared to a 3% increase in pack size. Together, these points ensure your maps yield higher rewards and enhance farming efficiency.

Places of Worship: after taking that, moving to the left side of the Atlas, unlock Places of Worship, which gives your maps a 100% increased chance to contain shrines. Shrines provide powerful buffs, including Seasonal Blessing, which improves the duration and effect of shrine bonuses. Additionally, Seek Shrines grant item rarity bonuses, although they spawn less frequently, making this node a bit of a gamble. Despite the uncertainty, picking Prayer for Guidance (which ensures a 100% increased chance for shrines to be Seek Shrines) is worthwhile, as shrines can yield valuable rewards.

For further enhancement, add nodes: Faith in Luck that provides a 25% chance for shrines to have an additional effect. This node increases the likelihood of spawning Speed Shrines, significantly accelerating farming. Combining Speed Shrines with Seek Shrines—especially with a speed bonus—results in optimized map clearing and faster loot collection.

Potential Other Nodes

Strongboxe Chance

Another option worth considering is Strongboxes, which could be a viable addition to your setup. If you decide to include Strongboxes in your strategy, you can take nodes like Hidden Hoards for rare monster packs.

Rogue Exiles

Many players may ask why Rogue Exiles should not be prioritized in the setup. Because Rogue Exiles currently provides very limited profit. The chances of obtaining anything valuable beyond a few random, rare items are quite low.

Spirits & Essences

Another common question is whether it's worthwhile to farm Essences and Spirits. Regarding spirits, their current impact is minimal. As a result, there isn't much value in investing points into spirits.

As for essences, so far, the results have been underwhelming. While essences could be an option for players who are either interested in them or playing solo self-found, my general recommendation is to focus on Shrines and significantly enhance your maps. This approach often yields better rewards and bonuses compared to farming essences.

Corrupted Infusion

One Keystone worth discussing for endgame mapping is Corrupted Infusion, which causes Corrupted Waystones to become corrupted again when traversed. While Corrupted Waystones can provide useful bonuses like increased rarity, quantity, or pack size, adding Corrupted Infusion allows these bonuses to be overwritten and effectively ruined. This makes it risky, as it can spoil even the best maps. For this reason, this node is not recommended. Additionally, investing in Corrupted Infusion requires at least five points, which is quite costly. While the modifiers and potential extra monster packs aren't inherently bad, the risks and point expenditure outweigh the potential rewards. As a result, please avoid selecting this Keystone in your setup.

Ecological Shift

The last node to discuss is Ecological Shift, which gives maps a 40% increased chance to contain random extra content while reducing the number of monster packs by 20%. This node is highly problematic. Fewer monster packs result in fewer monsters overall, which is a significant drawback. Even though the 40% increased chance for random extra content (like shrines, boxes, essences, Rogue Exiles, and spirits) may sound appealing, the content offered is often underwhelming. Even with multiplicative effects, the upside does not justify the downside.
