Winter Convergence Festival Event Guide

Winter Convergence Festival Event Event Details

•  Start Date: December 10th.

•  Winter Villages: Four festively decorated villages will serve as hubs for the event. These villages are located in Everfall, Monarch's Bluff, Weaver's Fen, and Brightwood.

•  Winter Tokens: Players can earn winter tokens throughout the event and exchange them for event-themed rewards and useful items like chromatic seals.

•  Daily Cooldowns: All daily cooldowns reset at 5:00 a.m. local time, allowing players to engage in daily activities and earn rewards consistently.

How to Start the Winter Convergence Festival Event

To start the Winter Convergence Festival event in New World, follow these steps:

1. Visit a Winter Village: Head to any of the winter villages located in Everfall, Monarch's Bluff, Weaver's Fen, or Brightwood.

2. Talk to the Winter Wanderer: In the middle of the village, find the giant yeti called the Winter Wanderer. He will give you a quest that introduces you to the event, its lore, and the convergence shop where you can spend the tokens you earn.

3. Complete the Initial Quests:

•  Holiday Hut: Visit one of the holiday huts in the winter village to learn about their function.

•  Collect a Lost Present: These presents spawn randomly around the map, but you can also find one marked on your map. Collect it and return to the yeti.

•  Collect a Fallen Gite Crystal: Similar to the present, go to the marker on the map, collect the crystal, and return to the yeti.

4.  Defeat the Winter Warrior: The final task is to defeat the Winter Warrior, a massive world boss that requires a group to defeat. Look for flashing icons on the map indicating where he is being fought. Join the battle, and if you do enough damage, you will receive one of his hail spikes as proof of your victory.

5. Turn in the Quest: Return to the winter village, turn in the hail spike to the yeti, and complete the quest line.

How to Earn Tokens During Winter Convergence Festival Event

To earn winter tokens during the Winter Convergence Festival in New World, follow these methods:

1. Gift Piles and Gift Sacks:

•  Gift Piles: Found in settlements, usually near the center of town under a large tree known as the Tree of Light. You can loot from three trees per day, each providing four presents containing winter tokens, two white gypsum, and one random holiday food. Additional loots will only give random holiday food.

•  Gift Sacks: Located in winter villages beside the Winter Wanderer. You can interact with one sack per day for bonus rewards, including three presents with winter tokens and a random holiday food. Additional sacks will only provide random holiday food.

2.Lost Presents:

•  Scattered around the wilds of Aeternum, these can be collected and exchanged for tokens in the winter village. Floating lost presents, when shot down, provide 20 recovered presents, making them more worthwhile than ground presents.

3. Gite Meteors:

•  Meteors fall from the sky and can be mined for Gite, which can be exchanged for tokens or used to craft high-tier winter-themed armor and weapons. These items have a 700 gear score with locked perks.

4. Winter Warrior Boss:

•  The most efficient way to earn tokens. This event boss spawns in Great Cleave, Ean Scale Reach, and Brimstone Sands. Defeat him with a group to earn Warriors Hail Spikes, which can be traded for premium winter tokens. He also drops 15 dark matter for the first three kills each day.

5. Token Conversion:

•  At the holiday hut in the winter village, you can convert recovered presents and Gite into winter tokens, and Hail Spikes into premium winter tokens. You can also convert winter tokens into premium tokens using a vial of suspended Azoth, or downgrade premium tokens into 25 winter tokens.

Tips & Tricks for the Winter Convergence Festival

1. Start Early: Begin grinding for the event as soon as possible. Early on, many players will be farming the Winter Warrior, making kills faster and easier. As the event progresses and players get what they need, fewer people will participate, making it harder to complete.

2. Check the Event Shop Regularly: Even if you have everything you want, visit the event shop every few days to get cooldown items like the chromatic seal. Also, make sure to collect your daily bonus loot for presents and free gold.

3. Daily Winter Warrior Kills: If you need Dark Matter, aim to kill the Winter Warrior three times daily to collect 45 Dark Matter. This will accumulate significantly by the end of the event.

4. Use Multiple Characters: Log into your alternate characters daily to gather daily bonuses. Use tokens from alts for account-wide items like skins, and save tokens on your main for essential items like chromatic seals. If your alts are on the same server, transfer valuable items and gold to your main account.

5. Sell Excess Vials of Suspended Azoth: Prices for these vials usually spike during the event as players need them to upgrade tokens. Selling them now can yield significant profits. Consider buying them before the event next year to sell at higher prices.

6. Use Event Food for Bonus Loot: When mining Gite meteors, consume any event food you have to receive bonus loot.
