Agility is the third slowest and most painful skill because it's not very AFK, and the XP rates are not great. However, it's one of the most useful skills because of the different perks it provides, and the higher your Agility level, the higher your run energy will restore. In this guide, CacPlaysRs teaches you how to reach level 99 Agility in Old School RuneScape.
Quests
There are some quests to skip over the first few agility levels:
• Levels 1-9: Recruitment Drive
• Levels 9-27: Tourist Trap (2 Lamps)
• Levels 27-28: The Depths of Despair
• Levels 28-33: The Grand Tree
Those quests can be done at a lower level, and they have few requirements. However, all of them involve some sort of combat, so be sure to watch some guides to these quests on youtube, and I highly recommend Slayermusiq1's quest guides. If you don't enjoy questing, there are some other ways to level up Agility.
Levels 1-10: Gnome Stronghold Agility Course
Your journey starts at the Tree Gnome Stronghold. You can earn a maximum of 8K XP/H, and it takes only 13.5 laps to reach level 10 Agility.
Once you reach level 10, the fastest training methods are doing the rooftop courses. Not only can you get a good amount of Agility XP but also Marks of grace that randomly spawn on the lap.
Note that when you are 20 levels above the required level to do a Rooftop course, Marks of grace will spawn less often, so be sure to train on your best course for the best XP and money.
One Mark of grace is worth 10.6K gp. Of course, you can not sell Marks of grace, but you can use them on Amylase crystal for OSRS gp.
You can also collect Marks of grace to get the Graceful Outfit, which is super helpful when you need to run around the map since it's weight-reducing gear. You should get this gear if you are planning to get to level 99 Agility. Other items, such as Boots of Lightness, Spottier cape, and Penance gloves, reduce more weight than their Graceful counterparts, but they do not grant the run energy restoration bonus.
Levels 10-20/30: Draynor Village Rooftop Course
For levels 10 to 20 or 30, you are going to complete Draynor Village Rooftop Course. This method yields up to 9K XP/H, and you will need to do 28 Draynor Village laps for level 20.
This course offers the fastest XP in the game up to level 30, so you can train here until you reach level 30 Agility. If you don't want to do this method, there is another option for you.
Levels 20-25/30: Al Kharid Rooftop Agility Course
You can complete the Rooftop Course from level 20 to 25 or 30, and this course yields 9.36K XP/H. When using Stamina potions, you will get 180 XP for each lap. If you don't plan to train at the Werewolf Skullball, this course offers the fastest XP for reaching level 30. I recommend training on the rooftop since it's much more relaxing than the Werewolf Skullball.
Levels 30-40: Varrock Rooftop Course
Varrock Rooftop Course is an easier and less click-intensive alternative to the Werewolf Skullball. This course grants 13,2K XP/H, and you will need to do 99 laps to reach level 40 from level 30.
Levels 40-48/52/60 Canifis Rooftop Course
Canifis Rooftop Course is the best method to collect Marks of grace up to level 60, making this course a viable option for players who seek to get the Graceful outfit as soon as possible. On average, you would get 18-20 Marks of grace per hour.
You can get up to 19.5K XP/. With fails, you would obtain 14K-16K XP/H. Additionally, you will be making around 200K OSRS gp per hour from Agility.
Levels 48-52/60: Ape Atoll Course
Players who have completed Chapter 2 of Monkey Madness 1 have the option of training at the Ape Atoll course. This course offers 30K-35K XP/H and, with Stamina potions, this number can be around 45K-50K XP/H. Unfortunately, this method doesn't award you Marks of grace, and you have to sacrifice money for better XP.
To access this course, you will need to bring a Ninja monkey greegree or Kruk monkey greegree.
Levels 52-60: Wilderness Course
If you don't mind taking a risk, you can train Agility in the Wilderness from level 52 to level 60 because Wilderness Agility Course gives the fastest XP below level 60 Agility.
The best way to get here is using an Ice Plateau Teleport from the Ancient or Lunar spellbooks. An alternative method is using a Teleport Lever in Edgeville or Ardougne, and a knife or slash weapon is a must.
Level 52 Agility is required to enter the course, but you can also use a Summer Pie to boost from level 47. In addition, to pass the pipe obstacles, you need to have level 49 Agility, so occasional re-boosting is also required when you are below level 49.
This course gives 571.4 XP per lap. For levels 52 to 61, you would gain 35K XP/H if you are using a Stamina potion. The best players can get up to 45K XP/H using Stamina potions without failing.
Your training gear should risk as little as possible because of the possibility of encountering player killers.
Stamina potions and food are recommended because you have to defend against player killers' attacks and restore lost Hitpoints from taking damage from failing Agility obstacles. A knife would also be a good choice as it allows you to cut the webs leading to the Mage Arena bank.
As most players will most likely not have the full Graceful set bonus by this level, I don't recommend bringing any Graceful items or anything you don't want to lose because you would lose them in the Wilderness. It may be wise only to wear Boots of lightness as they are easy to replace.
Levels 60-72/80: Seers' Village Rooftop Course
From levels 60 to 72, the Seers' Village Rooftop Course is one of the best training options for those who have completed the Hard Kandarin Diary. Completing the hardest diary allows you to switch the Camelot Teleport location to Seer's bank, which will reduce traveling time between laps, thereby increasing XP rates significantly. The additional drop rate of Marks of grace from the hard diary rewards more than covers the cost of the law runes to teleport. Additionally, teleporting to Seers' bank eliminates the need for Stamina potions on this course.
You can gain up to 50K XP/H at level 60 and 54K-55K XP/H at level 70. You will stop failing this course at level 79, at which point, it's possible to gain up to 56,7K XP/H.
Using this method without any fail would take 3,485 laps to go from level 60 to 80, and you will also obtain around 200K Magic XP from the Teleport.
Levels 70-75: Pollnivneach Rooftop Course
If you cannot complete the hard diary but wish to get Marks of grace, you should train on the Seer's course until level 70 and then move to the Pollnivneach Rooftop course. Without the Seer's bank teleport, you could gain only around 44K-45K XP/H.
If you are primarily interested in gaining Agility XP, you should train at Hallowed Sepulchre for faster XP. However, I don't recommend the Hallowed Sepulchre method because it is too hard and click-intensive compared to other training methods.
Levels 75-80/99: Prifddinas Agility Course
The Prifddinas Agility Course offers a less click-intensive training option from level 75 onwards. You have to complete the Song of the Elves quest to access this course. Instead of Marks of grace, you can find Crystal shards by using portals that randomly appear on the course, which acts as shortcuts. These portal shortcuts are unique to each player and grant you a Crystal shard roughly 1/3 of the time.
You can get up to 59K XP/H at level 75, increasing to 66K XP/H from level 90 onwards. You can also expect to find about 12 Crystal shards per hour.
Levels 80-90: Relleka Rooftop Course
If you have not completed the Song of the Elves quest, another option is to train from level 80 to 90 on the Relleka Rooftop course. Training at Relleka is only recommended for players who wish to get Marks of grace.
The Relleka Rooftop Course becomes superior to the Seers' Village Rooftop Course for collecting Marks of grace at level 80 because the drop rate for Marks of grace at the Seers' Village course is reduced to 20% of its normal rate at that level.
At level 80, you may fail the course, so it is recommended to boost with Summer pies. You can gain up to 54.8K XP/H on this course. Thus, you can stay here until level 99 and collect those Marks of grace.
Levels 90-99: Ardougne Rooftop Course
Ardougne Rooftop Course offers a profitable and less click-intensive training option from level 90 onwards. This course also has the highest spawn rate of Marks of grace, which increased by 25% after completing the elite Ardougne Diary. With the elite Ardougne Diary completed and at the maximum XP rate, you would get 22.5 Marks of grace per hour, so the profit will be around 240K OSRS gp per hour.
You can get up to 59K XP/H at level 90, and from level 96 onward, you can get 62.3K XP/H.
Shortcuts
You can find many shortcuts in Old School RuneScape, and you can make more RS07 gold per hour with these shortcuts. For example, from level 70 Agility, you can squeeze to Blue Dragon Lair and bank those bones much faster, increasing your profit per hour. Also, using the Mysterious pipe shortcut at level 88 Agility allows you to reach the Alchemical Hydra lair safely.
