Out of all the clothes in WotLK Classic, Frostweave is by far one of the most popular clothes. You need it for all the things related to Tailoring, as it is their source, and you also quite need it for First Aid in Wrath of the Lich King. Taking this Profession will allow you to craft various items as well.

Being something of this importance, you can find it realistically everywhere in Northrend: its zones, raids, and dungeons, just to name a few. Still, just as with any other Farm, when you are out there for Frostweave Cloth Farming, some areas are quite generally better than others.

So, we are exactly here for the same reason. Because in this Wrath Classic Guide to Frostweave Cloth Farming, we will be sharing with you in-depth details on Frostweave, how to best farm them, and also discuss the best locations for farming.

Importance of Frostweave Cloth

It is essential for quite a lot of professions in WotLK Classic, mostly Tailoring and First Aid for Engineering. When you are starting in WLK Classic, you will find it quite a profitable Cloth, but it is quite easy to stack together because of its usability.

Some players can easily earn plenty of WotLK Classic gold from Frostweave Cloth Farming, but for that, you need to make sure there's plenty in your storage.

You are holding your items and other gear in your bags. But do you know where these bags come from? For the most part, the Frostweave Cloth is used to make these bags for storage purposes. There is another incredible use of Frostweave Cloth. When you are in PvP, the only thing that can help is Bandage, which is also made from Frostweave Cloth.

Best Practice for Frostweave Cloth Farming

There are no rules and regulations here for Frostweave Cloth Farming in WOTLK Classic, and anyone can do it irrespective of what their Profession is. But if you are still looking for a bump, you can go for Tailors because of their Northern Cloth Scavenging.

This allows the Tailors to get extra cloth in contrast to other Professions. When a Tailor with Northern Cloth Scavenging is in a group with other professions, the Tailor sees dropped cloth in a highlight-sparkling manner while the others don't see it that way. Furthermore, the Tailor will also get bonus Cloth, and others get the same they usually get.

Learning Northern Cloth Scavenging

If you are a Tailor, you can get it with Tailoring 325, and you can learn it from Tailoring Grand Master through a quest like Cloth Scavenging. You can also learn it differently.

Use a Dropped book called Guide to Northern Cloth Scavenging. You can get Northern Cloth Scavenging if you are not a fan of the Grand Master learning method. But the issue is that this Book is quite rare, and most players don't depend on it.

How to Get Frostweave Cloth?

The best way to get Frostweave Cloth is from drops of Humanoids, while they also drop from Dragonkin and Undead. You can also purchase them from MMOGAH, which is quite possibly the easiest way around.

Frostweave Cloth Farming Locations

To get the most out of these locations, we divided them into two parts; the Low-level Farming Locations and High-level Farming Locations.

Low-level Farming Locations

Below are the Low-level Farming Locations for Frostweave Cloth in WOTLK Classic. These areas aren't quite the best, rather made for Tailors with lower levels and new to the game itself.

The drop rates are around twenty percent making them somewhat decent in contrast to the other areas in WOTLK Classic.

Grizzly Hills

In the Grizzle Hills, there are two farm groups named: Drakkari Protectors and the Drakkari Oracle. These are both the Drakil'jin Trolls of the Ruins. You will come across them in the northeast area of Grizzle Hills.

It might not be that great of a farm, but still, something is better than nothing. Being a Low-level Farm, you don't have to deal with dangerous mobs here. There are some wolves and serpents which you can avoid to get a decent farm.

Nevertheless, in this area, you will also find some quests which allow other players to join you on the farm. The Trolls in the Grizzle Hills are around level 73, making them quite easy to kill.

On the other hand, the Drakkari Oracles have caster and melee debuffs like the Warped Mind and the Warped Body. So, be cautious of them at all costs.

Sholazar Basin

In the area of Sholazar Basin, you will come across Ventures by the name of Co. Ruffian and Co. Excavator. Both of them are a bit above the previous Low-level Farm, as they have decent Frostweave Cloth drops.

Here you will also come across some quests for Sholazar Basin, and the enemies themselves aren't multiple. Rather, it is a small camp of enemies here and around 75 in level. Just be careful, most of the enemies we mentioned here are great for farming, but they do physical damage. If you are looking to level-up fast in WOTLK Classic, we have here an amazing WotLK Classic leveling guide for you to try out.

High-level Farming Locations

The below-mentioned locations are best for Frostweave Cloth Farming. Keep in mind that you need to be somewhat good at the game and its concept to get the High-level Farms.

The mentioned areas mostly come with Quests like Savvy Tailor. You can join together with other players who are also doing Quests here, and in return, you can do quick farm here.

Same as always, when you have Northern Cloth Scavenging with you on Tailor Profession, you will get much more than you usually do.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you need to be medium to a high level to Farm Frostweave Cloth here because of the higher level enemies. So, you will need WotLK Classic boost before even coming to these areas.

Icecrown

When you go towards the upper northeast side of Icecrown, you will come across small camps of Dark Zealots and Dark Ritualists. They might not be that famous, nor at a quite high level in contrast to the others, but the main purpose here is Quest.

These Farms go around level 80, and you can consider going for them if you are looking to gain High-level Frostweave Cloth Farms in WOTLK Classic.

Icecrown Converted Heroes

When you go towards the western area of Ymirheim, you will come across a Valley named Fallen Heroes. Here you will find Converted Heroes who are usually around 80 levels, but the best thing is that they come in groups of eight or seven.

You might ask, who has Converted Heroes? They are the Undead Scourge and also Wanderers on the Icecrown floor. You will find them in the Level 80 Scourge Banner Bearers, who are known for using Scourge Banner Aura.

This Aura will enhance the attack speed and damage of Scourge quite heavily, so it's best practice to simply get them first and then go for the Converted Heroes group.

Keep in mind being a High-level Farming Location, and there are a few things to notice. You can't use a lot of Crowd Control Effects on the Converted Heroes like fearing, snares, roots, slowing, and even poly-morphing. Yet, you can use stun on them if you want.

If you are having trouble getting them together in groups, you can split them because they don't chain together. It is quite hard to do and not as simple as it sounds. They can quickly re-pop, making them easy for you to take down, even if there are some people in the area.

The best class to take them down is AoE class because they are in groups, and you can farm a lot of Frostweave Cloth here with a class that affects the whole area.

Final Verdict

Well, that is all to the WOTLK Classic Guide to Frostweave Cloth Farming. You might have got it by now that farming this cloth isn't that hard, irrespective of the fact that it's quite useful and precious. If you are a Tailor Profession, you will do exceptionally well because of that Northern Cloth Scavenging. If you aren't, you can still do it with any other Profession in WOTLK Classic, but the gain will be quite low in contrast.

We divided the Locations into two types, one is for Low-level Farming, and one is for High-level farming. In our opinion, the Best Location to farm Frostweave Cloth is none other than the Icecrown Converted Heroes.
