Today, we’re going to talk about an in-game limited-time event called Midwinter Blight. It’s winter-themed, with lots of goodies to unlock and secrets to uncover. It goes live on December 12 and ends on January 2, 2024.

What is the Midwinter Blight Limited-Time Event?

The Midwinter Blight Limited-Time Event is a seasonal event that will take place in the Fractured Peaks region, which is one of the five regions of Sanctuary, the world of Diablo 4. The Fractured Peaks region is a mountainous area that is home to the monks, a religious order that seeks harmony and balance. The region is also known for its harsh weather and dangerous wildlife.

Once Midwinter Blight is active, you can head over to Kyovashad, and to the left of the waypoint, you’ll notice a Midwinter Square. Go ahead and speak with the bard named Gileon, who’s your event vendor.

What Type of Rewards Can You Expect to Farm?

Players can actually get five different back pieces, one for each class, that show off this most gruesome holiday. If you are running a Barbarian for Season of Blood, you will want to get him one of these with tusks hanging off the back.

Here are some of the insane weapon skins you can acquire during the holidays.

Players can earn up to 14 free cosmetics across all the classes.

How to Farm Midwinter Blight Resources?

You probably want to know how to farm these items. There are three types of event materials for you to look out for: Blighted Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and Red-Cloaked Trophies. They all can be acquired from the purple zone on the map.

You’ll find the majority of Blightfiend Fragments from the Blightfiend monsters on the map. Lost Heirlooms drop from these gruesome-looking Frigid Husks. But to find the Trophies, you’ll need to decapitate the Red-Cloaked Horror. He’s a big, bad goat and has a chance to spawn when you complete the mastery for the Blighted Revelry event. It’s hidden randomly in the zone, so keep an eye out.

What Can You Get from Slaying the Red-Cloaked Horror?

When you slay the beast, you’ll earn yourself a fancy new title for doing so. Once you’ve amassed enough Midwinter materials, head back to Midwinter Square. And next to Gileon, there’s a crafting bench. You can use this to convert all the materials you just farmed into Midwinter Proofs, which will be the main currency for the event.

By converting these materials into Proofs, you’ll raise your Tribute Tier with Midwinter, and it will also change visually and give you more rewards, such as Diablo 4 Gold, Armor, Gem Fragments, and Gileon’s Brew.

What is Gileon’s Brew?

Gileon’s Brew is a special Elixir that increases your Maximum Life, your Lucky Hit Chance, and Experience gained by 15%. It can be purchased from Gileon or found in Midwinter caches. Also, you can farm a Midwinter-specific Offensive Aspect called the Shard of Dawn. This Aspect increases your Attack Speed and Movement Speed by 12 seconds. And if the Midwinter Ward empowers you, every enemy you kill reduces the cooldown by one second, which makes it very handy for mowing down Blightfiends.

What Do We Hope to Achieve by Adding Midwinter Blight Limited-time Events?

One of the best things about the Midwinter Blight limited-time event is the opportunities that they provide us for experimentation. They’re a fantastic platform for testing out new concepts or playing with remixes of existing features and systems.

The Midwinter Blight Limited-Time Event is a fun and festive event that will add more variety and challenge to Diablo 4. It will also give you a chance to get some exclusive and powerful Diablo 4 items and cosmetics that will make your character stand out and stronger. If you are looking for a new and exciting adventure in Diablo 4, you should try the Midwinter Blight Limited-Time Event when it launches on December 12.
