Well, RageGamingVideos shared strategies for farming these coveted items fast on their YouTube channel, ensuring you're well-equipped to face the demonic hordes of Sanctuary. Let's explore what they are. Meanwhile, instead of farming, MmoGah have Ancestral Legendaries for sale to save you time and effort. If you want some, be sure to visit.

Diablo 4 Season 6: Ancestral Legendary Farming Guide

What Is Ancestral Items

In Diablo 4, Ancestral Items are powerful endgame gear that are stronger variants of existing Legendary and Unique items. Key features include:

1. Higher Item Power: Ancestral items have an item power of 800, which is higher than other gear, making their stats significantly better.

2. Greater Affixes: These items come with at least one Greater Affix, which boosts a random stat by 50%.

3. Torment World Tier: To obtain Ancestral items, you need to be in the Torment World tier, which is unlocked after completing specific capstone dungeons.

Murmuring Obols + Artificer's Pit

The first way is Murmuring Obols gambling at the vendor named Purveyor of Curiosities. Murmuring Obols is a currency in Diablo 4 that can be spent on a chance at a gear upgrade. It's easy to generate this season, especially once you are able to do Pit runs with any consistency. You can get tons of Obols as rewards at the end of a successful Pit run. The Pit also drops some items upon completion, with regular chances of being an Ancestral over a regular item, but the Obols can then double up and let you target specific slots to generate items. If you specifically aim for pit tiers that you can complete in 3 minutes or less, this means you will get the drops at the end and the Obols for multiple items within that time frame. Besides, the higher Pit runs you can do this with, the higher the chances of the items that drop at the end of the run being Ancestral. It's a very solid method, even if the rate isn't crazy high.

Kurast Undercity

The next option has increased chances of Ancestral drops, which is the brand new Kurast Undercity activity, but only if you have the Tributes for it.

Tributes are special consumable items used to enhance your rewards when running the Kurast Undercity dungeon. They act as optional keys that modify the type and quality of loot you receive upon completing a dungeon run, which can guarantee drops of specific item types, such as Ancestral Legendaries or Unique items.

Bargains are special modifiers that you can apply to your loot runs in the Kurast Undercity to further enhance the rewards you receive, which add additional modifiers on top of the guaranteed loot from Tributes, like making Legendary armor drop with skill ranks, or even making amulets drop with passive ranks.

That is to say, this activity does not drop a whole lot on completion, but if you apply Tributes and Bargains to it, it can add a lot of drops, and most importantly, it gives a large amount of control over these drops. While this is still a fully RNG-based system, it does give you a way to target something like greater affix rolls on a specific passive that you want on an Ancestral amulet, and there's no other way in the game to get so precise with target farming.

The problem with Tributes is that they are not the most common to find. Actually, the best method of getting them is from the Kurast Undercity dungeons itself. Finding and killing the Unique Treasure Goblins in the dungeon can net you a bunch of Tributes at the end. You can also get it from other endgame activities, like Nightmare Dungeon - Whispers of the Dead, Pit runs, Hordes, or even Helltide Chests, but the drop rate is lower.

Infernal Hordes

Infernal Hordes is the best option, and it should be your main and most frequent farm. The Infernal Hordes is a wave-based survival mode that culminates in a unique boss fight. Although it's considered an endgame activity, players can start engaging with this content as soon as they obtain an Infernal Compass in-game. Compasses now drop in three varieties this season: six waves, eight waves, or ten waves. Which difficulty tier you play when it drops doesn't affect this; you can get a six-wave compass on Torment 4.

For the most part, players assume that ten-waves compasses are the most valuable because you can collect the most Aether in a singular run. After all, more Aether is simply more rewards for the activity, but Hordes also have a one-time use chest at the end of each run, which costs 200 Aether and gives you at least one guaranteed Ancestral item. As you cannot open this chest multiple times, the most effective way to run Hordes for Ancestral items is to repeatedly do the six-wave variants of the compasses.

Ladder Bosses

If you are specifically after Uniques as their Ancestral option, you can go with Ladder Boss farming. It's not the most reliable, but it is a good way to target a specific item that you want to upgrade from the specific boss rather than looking for large quantities of Ancestral in general, especially since there are a lot of essential Uniques that are the core engines of a build. But for the new class Spiritborn, there is an exception. Spiritborn can roll at Purveyor of Curiosities for the Quarterstaffs, and there are only two unique Quarterstaffs in the game, so it's easier to get unique Quarterstaffs from gambling Obols than from the target farm boss.

Season Journey + Zakarum Reputation

The final one is the Season Journey rewards and the reputation track for the season. Both of them have various rewards along their track, which will give you guaranteed Ancestral items one time. With the Season Journey having three separate caches for the last three chapters, you can get two Ancestral Legendaries and two Ancestral Uniques for each one. While this is one-time only, and it is still beholding to RNG as far as which ones you get, they are still worth opening whenever you have the opportunity. It's easy to farm out the Season Journey or Zakarum reputation.
