In Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, players face a lineup of challenging bosses, making it difficult to decide which ones to tackle first. They are located in distinct parts of the game world and require specific strategies to defeat. After killing them, players are rewarded with a lot of EldenRing runes, which are essential for leveling up, enhancing attributes, and unlocking new abilities. Here's an overview of some notable bosses in order and tips on conquering them.

1. Divine Beast Dancing Lion

• Location: Belurat, Tower Settlement Legacy Dungeon

• Weakness: Vulnerable to fire attacks and bleed effects

• Strategy: This majestic beast is vulnerable to fire and bleed. Use fire-based spells or incantations and weapons that inflict bleed to take it down. Keep mobile to avoid its powerful leaps and charges. This boss has a challenging mix of movements and attacks. Recognizing safe moments to attack and heal is crucial.

2. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight

• Location: Castle Ensis >Ensis Moongazing Grounds

• Recommended Level: 160+

• Rewards: Remembrance of the Twin Moon Knight

• Strategy: Rellana can be found near the Castle-Lord's Chamber Site of Grace. Utilize Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings for damage negation. Keep your distance while using your Mimic Tear ashes to distract the knight.

3. Golden Hippopotamus

• Location: Shadow Keep >Main Gate Plaza

• Recommended Level: 160+

• Rewards: Scadutree Fragment

• Strategy: This boss requires quick reflexes. Collect as many Scadutree Blessings as possible to reduce the difficulty, and use hit-and-run tactics to avoid its powerful charges.

4. Putrescent Knight

• Location: Stone Coffin Fissure

• Weakness: Susceptible to bleed effects and physical damage

• Strategy: Dodge its ice-based attacks and spinning moves and counter with quick strikes. Maintain a safe distance and use hit-and-run tactics to whittle down its health.

5. Messmer the Impale

• Location: Specimen Storehouse >Messmer's Dark Chamber

• Recommended Level: 150+

• Rewards: Messmer's Kindling, Remembrance of the Impaler

• Strategy: Messmer is a formidable foe. Explore the world for Scadutree Blessings and level up your base stats to stand a chance against this piercing adversary.

6. Romina, Saint of the Bud

• Location: Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh

• Recommended Level: 170+

• Rewards: Remembrance of the Saint of the Bud

• Strategy: Escape the noxious AoEs and get your hits in until she's defeated. Romina's attacks can inflict Scarlet Rot. Avoid her poisonous fumes and exploding butterflies at all costs. When she's vulnerable, strike quickly and retreat before she can respond.

7. Commander Gaius

• Location: Found in the large field behind the Shadow Keep

• Recommended Level: 160+

• Strategy: Similar to the Golden Hippopotamus boss, featuring slow but powerful attacks. Stagger and bleed effects are highly effective against him. Dodge his long-range charge attack by waiting until the last second before the boar's tusk is about to hit you, then dodge diagonally forward and away from the boar.

8. Scadutree Avatar

• Location: Hidden part of the Shadow Keep

• Strategy: Dodge the big swipes and bleed-inducing attacks. The challenge lies in defeating it three times in a row. The Avatar is weak to physical damage and bleeds. It requires you to defeat it three times consecutively, so prepare for a prolonged battle. Dodge its sweeping attacks and counter when possible.

9. Metyr, Mother of Fingers

• Location: Close to the end of Ymir's questline

• Strategy: Metyr is weak against magic, so spells are your best bet. Maintain distance and cast powerful sorceries to defeat her before she can unleash her devastating finger spells.

10. Midra, Lord Of Frenzied Flame

• Location: Resides in the Abyssal Woods region of the Shadow of the Erdtree

• Strategy: To defeat Midra, focus on staggering him with heavy weapons and bleed effects while equipping gear with high Focus to counteract his madness-inducing attacks.

11. Promised Consort Radahn

• Location: Enir-Ilim >Divine Gate Front Staircase

• Recommended Level: 170+

• Rewards: Remembrance of a God and Lord

• Strategy: As the main boss at the Divine Gate, Radahn presents a significant challenge, especially for Mages. Close combatants should bait attacks and counter, while Mages may need to consider co-op assistance for this battle.

Additional Tips:

• Being Level 150+ is recommended for the DLC.

• Collect Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings at Sites of Grace for permanent damage negation.

• Free-roam is available after the story, allowing you to tackle any remaining bosses.

• The final story boss is notably challenging, requiring careful strategy and possibly co-op assistance.

• Defeating bosses often reward players with essential DLC items that enhance gameplay, which prompts players to purchase them to facilitate these challenging encounters.

These bosses are designed to test your skills and adaptability. Each requires a unique approach, and success often hinges on understanding their attack patterns and exploiting their weaknesses. Remember to equip yourself with the right tools and spells for each encounter, and don't hesitate to summon allies for assistance if needed. Good luck, Tarnished!
