Today, we will introduce seven open-world bosses in New World: Aeternum that you can easily solo. These bosses drop major bind-on-equip items, which you can sell for significant New World gold. Each of these bosses has a chance to drop at least one major bind-on-equip item, which you can sell at the trading post for a good profit. If you have average gear and are at max level, these bosses can be easily soloed without taking much of your time. However, if you haven't reached the level cap yet, I will recommend a very easy level 40 boss that you can also challenge.

As with any money-making method in New World, item prices vary across different servers, so it's important to check the trading post prices before starting any method. I will list all the major items you need to look for below, so you can check which items are most valuable on your server and then go after the corresponding bosses. However, note that even if some items sell for more on your server, choosing bosses that drop less valuable items can still be profitable, especially if those bosses have shorter respawn times, high item demand, or valuable resources around them.

Additionally, it's worth regularly switching up the bosses you farm so you can get a variety of major items. When you sell these items, you can list several different items at once, speeding up the entire selling process.

Tips & Tricks

Before introducing the bosses, let's quickly go over some tips and tricks. First, if you want to maximize your profits, wear luck gear and eat luck food to increase your drop rates as much as possible. Similarly, if you have max-level gathering gear, switching to this gear while gathering resources can significantly increase your gold per hour. You can also enable PvP mode for an extra luck bonus, but you won't be able to group up if others are farming in the same spot. If you choose to enable PvP mode or if you're new to the game, you can set up a camp near the boss spawn point so you can respawn nearby if you die for any reason.

Additionally, these bosses are a good opportunity to use your daily Topaz Gypsum Attunement Potion, allowing you to get extra Topaz Gypsum Orbs. Finally, each time you farm these bosses, you can activate the Territory Standing music buff to increase your standing. Of course, you can also use other music buffs that are more valuable to you.

Boss Introduction

Sesa (Weaponsmith Shoes)

The first boss, and one of my favourites, is Sesa. The major item you are looking for is the Weaponsmith Shoes. Additionally, there are plenty of resources around him. This boss is particularly good for farming because his respawn time is very short, only 1 minute, meaning you can kill him multiple times in a short period to increase your chances of getting the shoes.

This boss is also a good place to use your daily Topaz Gypsum Attunement Potion because he is easy to kill, conveniently located, and has a chance to drop very valuable items. However, he does not drop Obsidian Gypsum. To reach his location, you need to teleport to the Serenity Shrine fast travel point and then run to the Yeti Cave in Serenity Sanctuary, where he spawns.

He is very easy to solo, especially once you are familiar with his attack patterns. If you find the mobs in the cave troublesome, you can use a ranged weapon to lure him out of the cave for a solo fight or deal with the mobs first before fighting him. After killing him, he will respawn within 1 minute. If you don't want to idle during this time, you can gather resources around the area. There are plenty of Starmetal, Platinum, Hemp, Ironwood, and Violet Prismabloom.

Putris & Krockes (Engineering Gloves & Jewelcrafter's Hood)

Next, let's introduce the second and third bosses, as they spawn in the same location. They are Putris and the Lost Alchemist Krockes. Each drops a major item: Putris drops the Jewelcrafter's Hood, and Krockes drops the Engineering Gloves. This gives you two chances to get major items each respawn, with a respawn time of about 3 minutes, allowing you to quickly accumulate a lot of items.

To reach their location, you need to teleport to the main city and then follow the path to Mosswater Borg, where they spawn. These two bosses are very easy to solo, even easier than Sesa, making them a great starting point for new players. The only annoying thing is that they spit sticky purple goo that slows you down, and Krockes has a damage absorption skill, but other than that, they are quickly defeated.

The only downside to this location is that there are almost no resources to gather nearby. You can come here when you need to AFK, kill the bosses, and then idle for 3 minutes waiting for them to respawn.

Broadpaw (Weaver's Shirt)

Next, the fourth boss, which I recommend for those who may not have reached max level yet. This boss is Broadpaw (the bear), which has multiple versions, but the high-level ones are very difficult, so we will only introduce the very easy level 41 version this time. Here, you are looking for the Weaver's Shirt, but due to the 6-minute respawn time, there will be a lot of idle time at this farming spot, so the chances of getting the shirt are lower.

To reach his location, you need to teleport to the Malerie Shrine fast travel point in Weaver's Fin and then head east to Broadpaw's Den, where he patrols outside the cave. This is one of the easiest bosses to kill, and if you wait for the respawn inside the cave and use a ranged weapon, you can kill him before he gets close to you. I highly recommend this method for low-level players to earn gold.

Articulon & Mozrul (Weaponsmith Pants & Tanner Pants)

Next, let's introduce the fifth and sixth bosses, which are a duo, and you can even farm them along with the next boss to form a trio. First, let's introduce these two bosses: Articulon the Unshackled and Mozrul the Herald. The major items you are looking for are the Weaponsmith Pants from Articulon and the Tanner Pants from Mozrul. These two bosses have a very short respawn time of only 1 minute, allowing you to kill them multiple times in a short period to get a lot of items.

These two bosses are now very easy to reach because a new fast travel point has been added at the Shrine of the Herald. Teleport to this point in Great Cleave, and you will find them near Loadstone Grom. Articulon is hidden in an Orichalcum vein, so you need to mine the vein first, while Mozrul patrols nearby. If you prefer, you can kill Mozrul first and then mine out Articulon, making this location even more convenient. Although they used to be very difficult to solo, they are now very easy to handle after being nerfed. Once you are familiar with their mechanics, you can even challenge them simultaneously. If you die, the respawn shrine is nearby, so it's easy to get back to them.

Note that if your mining level is not 150, you won't be able to mine out Articulon and can only farm Mozrul. However, reaching 150 mining is not difficult. As for resources around, there are almost none except for a few chests, and mining out Articulon won't yield Orichalcum Ore. But since their respawn time is very short, you will hardly have time to gather resources.

In addition to major items, these two bosses also drop a lot of legendary items that can be salvaged for Dark Matter, and many items look cool for transmog. Although these items cannot be upgraded to the highest gear score, some of the trade skill gear they drop is very good and can be used until you get max-level gear or sold for extra gold. Additionally, they drop Corrupted Tokens, which can be used to upgrade Corrupted Combat Trophies.
