Although the launch of New World: Aeternum brought in many new and returning players, some servers are now experiencing lower populations. As players move on to other games or different servers, these servers face dwindling populations. Merge Process
The server merging process will begin on Tuesday, February 18, and involves several steps to ensure a smooth transition:
1. Server Restart for Retiring Worlds: The retiring worlds will undergo a server restart to prepare for the merge.
2. Character Creation and Transfers Disabled: Character creation and transfers will be turned off on the retiring worlds to prevent new characters from being created or transferred during the merge process.
3. Wars Canceled and Refunded: All ongoing wars on the retiring worlds will be canceled, and any resources used for these wars will be refunded to the players.
4. Transfer Option for Players: Between February 18 and 25, players on the retiring worlds will have the option to transfer themselves to another world within their region. This provides flexibility for players who may prefer a different server.
5. Official Completion on February 25: The server merges will be officially completed on February 25; at this point, all characters and companies will be automatically moved to their respective new servers.
6. Reimbursement Process: A reimbursement process will be initiated for transfer tokens used within the last 14 days between merging worlds. This ensures that the merge will not penalize players who recently transferred.
