GGG is at the Brasil Game Show, where attendees can try out Path of Exile 2. To make their first time special for players, they asked the Brazilian developers to tell them about the work they've been doing for Path of Exile 2.

DÉBORA ABELHA - RIGGER

"I am part of a team of riggers. Rigging is preparing a model of a character, monster, or object. You put in the skeletons of the object. I came to New Zealand to study in 2018. My professor ended up referring me to a position here, and I passed. One of the things I did in Path of Exile 2, which was my favorite so far, was a monster called a rat. Several rats are coming out of a big rat. I built several types of physics for when one of the rats detaches. The little tail moves a certain way, which was really fun. Working on Path of Exile 2 is much faster because of the slightly more advanced technology. It turns out that we can do some crazy things with Path of Exile 2 compared to 1. Whether you have played Path of Exile 1, when you open Path of Exile 2, It's very different. It's like this and still has the same charm as Path of Exile 1, but it's a very beautiful game to watch. We worked with a lot of care and love for it to look like that. For Brazilian fans, right? I appreciate the support. I hope you know that there are Brazilians here, and for my friends and family, a kiss for my country. Minas Gerais!"

GABRIEL SANCHES - ARTISTA VFX

"I do VFX or visual effects for Path of Exile 2. I have been working mainly on player skills, doing all the new and existing ones. Before coming to GGG, I had already worked with VFX for games, so it was a pretty easy transition. I think the evolution of the effects that we have done for the game, compared with the first one, is that there is a lot of new technology and interactions. Many of the materials we use now are more realistic than before. This part is cool. One of my favorite things I worked on was the new classes, exploring new themes—for example, the martial arts for the Monk or the Druid and Huntress. New weapon types have various different themes for us to explore. I want to see what people will be able to create with all the different skills. We tried our best to ensure you can see what's happening in battle. I think the combat in the new game is visually much clearer than in the first one."

FELIPE NOVAES - ARTISTA VEX

"I work as a VFX artist here at Grinding Gear Games. I used to play Path of Exile a lot. Funnily enough, one of the things I put on my resume, and I don't even know if it makes sense, but I had 4,000 hours on Steam, which counted a lot for my position here. About two months after the interview, I got the job and have been here for 7 years now. The pillar of a good effect is that it can mess with the environment, right? You're not just seeing something on top of your screen; you see something that is interacting with the environment around the player. I enjoyed bringing this to Path of Exile 2, which wasn't necessarily possible in PoE 1, but now it is. And that's one of the things that I think was a big step forward from PoE 1 to PoE 2. For fans, I highly recommend you play the new game right. I hope you like it. For my family and friends, I also invite you to play the game."

FELIPE ECKHARDT - ARTISTA 3D

"I create characters and the monsters you guys face. The things I do will make you guys nervous. I have always worked in this market, which is very interesting, the 3D market. New Zealand and Grinding Gears seemed to be a very interesting destination, both professionally and as a tourist. Middle Earth, right, as it is known worldwide. I'm a newcomer here and haven't had the opportunity to work on many cool things Grinding Gear has done in Path of Exile 1, but I'm looking forward to showing what we are doing in PoE 2. I think this game is more than special. I think everyone involved in its creation is working very hard, and I'm looking forward to seeing the reaction in Brazil and worldwide. Give it a chance, play, and have fun because I think we are doing many good things with this game."
