With the release of Patch 11.0.7 for The War Within, there's a wealth of new content and updates to dive into, like the new zone Siren Isle, which offers new mounts and cosmetics for you to collect and new character customization options. To help us get started and make the most of this patch, Dalaran shared the top things you should focus on first on his YouTube channel. Let's explore what they are. If you need some World of Warcraft gold for the new patch, MmoGah can help by providing reliable gold selling services.
Get to the Siren Isle
The first thing you should do is visit the new zone to start working on your weekly and daily objectives. You need to go to the Dornogal in the Council Chambers and begin the quest line of the Expedition Awaits from the Earthern called Dawn. Then, you'll head over to a goblin zeppelin and make your way to the Siren Isle. Here, you can do all the new zone events, farm Flame-Blessed Iron, collect transmogs and mounts, collect your ring, and so many other things like gearing your alts.
Cersei's Circlet Questline
Once you get into the island, start on your Cersei's Circlet quest line, which you'll have to do over the next six weeks to unlock different abilities for traversal within the zone and upgrade the value of this ring until it reaches the highest item levels available. You'll follow the quest line heading deep underground into the Forgotten Vaults to pick up the ring and collect your very first gem. From there, you can start expanding and upgrading the ring through various quests and completing world events to collect even more gems to power up that ring further.
Flame-Blessed Iron
Next, start farming up the Flame-Blessed Iron, a new currency introduced in Patch 11.0.7 and used to buy catch-up gear, mounts, pets, gear, and transmogs. The best way to farm it is to complete group events within the zone, slay rares, hunt down treasures, do all the zone weeklies, and even group excavations. In a word, participate in as many open-world activities as possible.
Mounts
Another thing you can start working on is one of the mounts located on the Siren Isle, which is the Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren. It's a good idea to group up with players for this mount as early as possible, especially while everyone is still playing the update before people take a break until Season 2 content. To earn this mount, you'll need to head into the storms and collect five keys to unlock five runes. Some of these keys are easier to get with groups, especially when tackling challenging enemies within the storms or fighting powerful rares that require other players to complete.
You can also start the Hungry Hungry Snapdragon quest line from the Growing Snapdragon Runt, which allows you to obtain a Prismatic Snapdragon that can change colors. You can see a preview of these different Snapdragons and their colors once you unlock your own Snapdragon. But to obtain this mount, you'll need to keep completing repeatable quest chains, collect meat and various foods to feed the dragon, and keep coming back to the dragon until it grows into a full-sized dragon that can become your mount. The earlier you start this quest, the better, ideally during the first week of Patch 11.0.7's release.
Another achievement you can start working on now is "Isle Remember You.", which also grants you a boat mount, The Breaker's Song. There is a variation of this mount available in the store, but the details of this version are different from that one in the shop.
Customization Option
If you play a human or Kul Tiran, there is now a new customization option in the barber shop upon logging in: Arathi ear options. Instead of the rounded humanoid ears, you get the pointed, almost Elf-like Arathi ears.
Additionally, there are two new story quest lines available with 11.0.7: the Dalaran Epilogue quest line and the Lingering Shadows quest, a prologue to the update of 11.1 Season 2 content, which will hopefully go up for PTR testing very soon.
