Wrath of the Lich King Classic Will Come on Sep 26
Big news! Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be officially released on Sep 26, bringing back what many see as the MMORPG's most beloved expansion. A lot of players are waiting for its coming.
The Pre-Patch Release Date Prediction
The pre-patch came on Wrath Classic PTR on Aug 10. This makes it likely that the pre-patch will go 2 to 4 weeks prior to launch, so we guess that the pre-patch will come in the Second half of August/First half of September. Of course, we'll have to wait for official confirmation from Blizzard.
WotLK's pre-patch will be the first step on our journey to Northrend, giving us a chance to prepare our characters for the fight against Arthas' minions.
Fresh Start Servers Come with Pre-patch
Now half of the contemporary TBC Classic servers have been closed down. These servers will be replaced by new, fresh WotLK Classic servers when Wrath pre-patch comes. Players can start a new character from level 1 and play alongside a new community of others.
WotLK Classic Phases Details
Here's the list via Wowhead:
Phase 1: Naxxramas, The Eye of Eternity, The Obsidian Sanctum
Phase 2: Ulduar
Phase 3: Trial of the Crusader, Onyxia's Lair
Phase 4: Icecrown Citadel
Phase 5: The Ruby Sanctum
You'll be able to make a Death Knight during the WotLK pre-patch, which will give you the chance to try out the "new" hero class before arriving in Northrend for the first time.
What to Expect from WoW WotLK Classic
The second World of Warcraft expansion is one of the most popular. It will thrill both veterans and newcomers with a host of improved features and content to explore:
New Profession - Inscription
This new profession allows players to scribe mystical glyphs that modify the properties of spells and abilities (cooldowns, damage, etc.) and craft powerful trinkets and off-hand items.
The level Cap Increased to 80
The level cap will be increased to 80, which will be available for anyone who wants to jump straight into WotLK Classic without playing TBC expansion first.
New Class - Death Knight (starts at level 55)
This is World of Warcraft's first hero class. Available on both factions and starting at level 55.
Northrend Continent Opens Wp with 11 New Zones
The legendary island in the North of Azeroth destined to be Scourge's birthplace opens its gates for both factions. Frankly, Alliance and Horde are forced to go to Northrend to save the world from Lich King's threat. Starting at level 68, players can receive special quests in the faction capitals and travel on an expedition to the North to resist the forces of evil.
These 11 new zones include the fearsome Icecrown Citadel, the rattling jungle of Sholazar Basin, undead-filled Zul-Drak, and more. You can start your adventure in either the eastern Howling Fjords or the western Borean Tundra (leveled from levels 68 to 72).
Dungeons and Raids
Relive seminal 5-player dungeons like Azjol-Nerub and the Culling of Stratholme, and lay siege to Naxxramas as a 25- or 10-player raid.
No Dungeon Finder
One of the biggest differences is the absence of a Dungeon Finder system. Original Dungeon Finder will not be available in this new expansion.
DID YOU KNOW? |
Dual Talent Specialization
This is a skilled player at level 30 who can learn in exchange for 10 gold from their class trainers. Dual talent specialization is the ability to switch between two talent specs, glyph sets, and action bars on each level 30 character.
Achievements Unlocked
The achievements will give players new rewards for their exploits and accomplishments.
