ESO Companions: Isobel Build Guide

Isobel Veloise is a Breton Templar Companion who is coming to The Elder Scrolls Online with the High Isle Chapter. She can perform well as a Tank, Healer, and Magicka DPS. Isobel is a decent Stamina DPS as well. If you want to make Isobel a potent Companion to assist you in combat, this is the guide for you.

How to Unlock Isobel

You can find Isobel near the Castle Navire point of interest, West of Confalon Bay, High Isle's Capital. To unlock her as a Companion, you need to complete her quest Tournament of the Heart in the area.

Where to Find Isobel

Tank Build

Gear Setup

As a Tank, Isobel can wear all Heavy Armor with a mix of Bolstered and Quickened pieces for reduced damage taken and better ability cooldowns. This setup will reduce incoming damage, but you can also add some Vigorous pieces to boost Max Health.

Skill Setup

Provoke is a Taunt ability.

Solar Ward is an ability that grants a damage shield and also reduces incoming damage.

Beam of Reproach deals damage to enemies and heals allies simultaneously.

Holy Ground is an AoE Healing ability.

On Guard provides a shield.

Baneslayer is a powerful Ultimate ability.

Healer

Gear Setup

To get strong Heals, Healers can use all light armor with a mix of Soothing and Quickened pieces for better ability cooldowns and healing done. You can also add Quickened pieces for better ability cooldown.

Skill Setup

Mystic Fortress is a powerful damage shield that protects Companions or the lowest-health ally around them. 

Blessed Sacrament is a strong Healing ability.

Beam of Reproach deals damage to enemies and heals allies simultaneously.

Mending Incantation heals companions and allies and also grants Spell and Physical Resistance. 

Holy Ground is an AoE healing ability.

Baneslayer is a powerful Ultimate ability.

Magicka DPS

Gear Setup

For Magicka DPS build, it is recommended to use a mix of Light and Medium armor (full Medium if you wish) with Aggressive (for better damage) and a few Quickended pieces (for better ability cooldown).

Skill Setup

Divine Destruction is a strong execute ability.

Sun Brand is an ability that deals Fire Damage to an enemy.

Beam of Reproach deals damage to enemies and heals allies at the same time.

Elemental Barricade is an AoE offensive ability.

Holy Ground is an AoE healing ability.

Baneslayer is a powerful Ultimate ability.

Stamina DPS – Two-Handed

Gear Setup

Isobel can wear all medium armor with a mix of Aggressive and Quickened pieces, and any two-handed weapon will work. If you wish, you can experiment with a different Quickened/Aggressive ratio).

Skill Setup

Divine Destruction is a strong execute ability.

Penetrating Strikes can be a Spammable skill that grants Companions and their nearby allies a boon that increases the damage of their next Light or Heavy Attack.

Beam of Reproach deals damage to enemies and heals allies at the same time.

Sunder is a DoT ability that slices all enemies in front of the Companion, making it a good ability to kill groups of enemies. 

Holy Ground is an AoE Healing ability.

Baneslayer is a powerful Ultimate ability.

Stamina DPS – Dual Wield

Gear Setup

It is recommended to use medium armor with a mix of Aggressive and Quickened pieces. You can experiment with a different Quickened/Aggressive ratio if you wish. For weapons, you can use dual daggers or a axe/sword and dagger combination.

Skill Setup

Divine Destruction is a strong execute ability.

Penetrating Strikes can be a Spammable skill that grants Companions and their nearby allies a boon that increases the damage of their next Light or Heavy Attack.

Spinning Steel is an AoE damage that can act as an execute ability, and it is also a great ability against multiple enemies.

Razor Cape deals Physical Damage and reduces incoming damage.

Holy Ground is an AoE Healing ability.

Baneslayer is a powerful Ultimate ability.

Stamina DPS – Bow

Gear Setup

You can use all Medium armor with a mix of Aggressive and Quickened pieces.

Trick Shot deals Physical damage and immobilizes enemies.

Viper's Bite deals direct and DoT Poison damage.
