Tip 1: Codex of Power
It took me a thousand hours to learn this! Go to the Occultist's Codex of Power and type in "equip." This will show all the aspects you currently have equipped, and by hovering over each piece of equipment, you can see which item it's on. This is incredibly helpful while leveling. Instead of constantly checking for new aspects, just type "equip" to view all your aspects simultaneously. If you find an updated aspect, keep it at the highest level to maximize your damage output.
Tip 2: Favorite Waypoints
This feature is relatively new. To set a favorite waypoint, go to your waypoint and right-click to favorite it. I recommend favoriting Kyovashad due to its Artificer's Obelisk and the proximity of all vendors. The second-best location is the Curious Bazaar because of the Undercity and its amazing tributes, especially the Rune tributes.
Tip 3: Upgrading Glyphs
Understanding how to upgrade your glyphs is crucial for optimizing your character:
- Plus 5: Requires an 80+ level difference between the pit and glyph levels.
- Plus 4: Requires a 60+ level difference.
- Plus 3: Requires a 40+ level difference.
- Plus 2: Requires a 20+ level difference.
For example, if your glyph is at level 83, to upgrade it to plus 2, you would need to do a pit level of 91 plus 20, resulting in a 111 pit level. This ensures continuous upgrades.
Tip 4: Blacksmith Caches
Blacksmith caches are often underrated. Crafting them gives you a high chance of obtaining ancestral items. These items can equip your character and provide max rolls on aspects. Crafting 50-60 caches for a new character is beneficial. You can easily earn the gold needed by completing Whispers or trading valuable items.
Tip 5: Experience Bonus
Your experience bonus is displayed in your stats. To maximize it, use incense from the Alchemist. These incenses can be stacked and provide additional XP. Also, use an elixir of resourcefulness for an extra 8% XP gain. Customize your potions by holding the "e" button for quick access and activation, making it easier to maintain your buffs.
Tip 6: Enchanting Items
When enchanting items at the Occultist, open the enchant item tab and check potential outcomes before choosing which stat to reroll. This helps you understand what stats can be rolled out and avoids wasting resources on unattainable outcomes.
