Elden Ring, a 2022 blockbuster game from developer FromSoftware, offers its players plenty of challenges through the abundance of top-notch boss fights scattered throughout the Lands Between.

Elden Ring boss-1

Every player confronts a variety of bosses that require them to be adaptable and quick on their feet. One wrong move can mean the difference between life and death, regardless of whether they have one of the strongest weapons in the game or they receive help from some of the most beneficial NPCs in the game. Every boss on this list is extremely challenging, with a diverse set of moves that will force you to retreat to the nearest site of grace, so I highly recommend that you go well prepared and equipped for each fight. You can buy Elden Ring Runes at an affordable price that you will need to boost your Elden Ring weapons to make the battles as easy as possible.

Without further ado, these are the top five Bosses in Elden Ring (in no particular order), their locations, and useful strategies on how to beat them.

Melania, Blade of Miquella

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Malenia has been ranked as the game's most challenging and lethal boss.  Her renown is well justified as she violates FromSoftware's tradition by being one of the only bosses that heal on every hit. Malenia can be found at the bottom of Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Her arena is directly down the stairs from the Haligtree Roots site of grace. It is strongly recommended that you reach at least level 120 before attempting to defeat Malenia. Bear in mind that she is especially vulnerable to frostbite, fire, and bleeding weapons. Therefore, you should bring spells and weapons that excel in dealing with this type of damage.

It is difficult to find a chance to attack her because she can retreat while attacking. Additionally, she has a powerful grab attack. If you are in low health, you can easily be killed by this one attack, even if your physical defense is strong. Malenia has two phases, like the majority of Elden Ring bosses. Unfortunately, phase two restores her health to full, which makes it much more difficult to defeat her. It's challenging to go over Malenia's complete moveset because she uses a variety of attacks, many of which are subtle variations on one another. Instead, I will focus on the main attack she consistently launches and how to avoid it. The Waterfowl Dance is the deadliest because if you get caught in it, she can completely eliminate your health bar. She anticipates this action by leaping into the air and spinning before slashing everything in her path.

She uses three sets of combos in this move, and if you time it right, you can roll into her after the second set of slashes. After that, step back and wait for the camera to reset so you may unleash a few strikes. I also recommend that you stand behind Malenia while your spirit delivers damage to her. The whole point is to stun-lock her with perfectly timed attacks.

Elden Ring boss-2

Phase two: The most important thing to keep in mind about this part is that some of her movements from the first phase are more difficult to predict because of her wings. Some of her animations are lightly obstructed by them, making it difficult to guess what will happen next. It's best to keep your distance if you're unclear about what she's about to do. You can defeat her if you take it slow and continue stun-locking her when the chance arises, particularly if you utilize your mimic.

Maliketh, the Black Blade

This boss is located at Crumbling Farum Azula, and you can only access it after you reach the Mountaintop of Giants, defeat the Fire Giant, and set the Erdtree ablaze. Maliketh is an extremely challenging boss, and it's one that will undoubtedly cause a few controllers to break. You should take this fight when your character level is between 110 and 130, preferably with a fully upgraded weapon. Since this is an extremely challenging boss, you should go fully prepared for this battle. Every Elden Ring item that you need can easily be found.

Phases: In both of its phases, Maliketh, the Black Blade, is a very aggressive boss. Before committing to a certain run, use your first few tries to learn Maliketh's moveset. Maliketh has fewer moves than you might anticipate for an endgame boss, yet the majority of them are sufficient to finish you out in one hit or two at most, giving you little room for error. I suggest you use the Ash of War: Flame of Radmanes from north of Fort Gael in Caelid. For phase one, you should also have a 100% physical defense shield. When you are ready, you can enter the boss room and call your spirit of choice. While the boss is focusing on your summon, it is advisable to play defensively (if you have a shield).

Elden Ring boss-3

When this happens, you should sprint over and attempt to land Flame of the Redmanes twice, and if you succeed in doing so within a short period, the boss will be stunned and then get a critical hit to its eye. When phase 2 begins, follow the same procedure: wait for the boss to target your summon, then sprint over and repeatedly cast Flame of the Redmanes until the boss is stunned, after which you should repeat the process until he is killed. The boss is significantly more dangerous in phase 2 and can do a ton of damage even through a shield, but once stunned, you can keep him infinitely stunned, so you only need to catch him once!

Mohg, Lord of Blood

The problem with Mohg is that he is a "secret " boss. In addition to being concealed in an underground temple, you'll need to have obtained specific items to win this battle. Mohg can be found in Mohgwyn Palace inside the Siofra River. You can enter this location through a portal located to the west of the Consecrated Snowfield.

As I previously stated, you need certain items in order to defeat this boss, such as Mohg's shackle and Purifying crystal tear.

Phase one: Mohg has a limited number of attacks at this phase. His trident strikes can be delayed, but you can avoid them or even block them. His Blood Claw attack, which effectively has two forms, is more deceiving.

You should pay attention to his left hand. You can easily avoid the front-handed Blood Claw strike because of its slower animation. Usually, a trident swipe comes after that. Mohg has two additional trident attacks in this phase, but both attacks are easily avoided by rolling away. Your objective in this phase is to use as few of your flasks as possible because you'll need them in the second phase, which is where the actual battle starts.

Phase two: Unlike the first phase, where avoiding the initial hit was enough, this phase is difficult since Mohg will grow wings, and all of his attacks will be enhanced with blood and fire damage. However, Mohg will use his trident to perform a long combo, so you'll have a new move to be aware of. He will float and cast a blood shower in front of himself before dashing at you and swinging his trident. Then, after swinging the trident upward, he will place it on the ground, setting off an explosion as he pulls it out. For this combo, you'll need to perform some perfectly timed dodges, beginning with a roll towards him as he dashes at you, then a roll to the side for the following swing, and finally two dodges back to avoid the trident plant and explosion.

Radagon/Elden Beast

Finally, you've reached the game's pivotal battle with Radagon and Elden Beast. So you are only two steps away from becoming the Elden Lord. This is the final boss fight in Elden Ring, taking place inside the Erdtree at Leyndell, Ashen Capital (Elden Throne). Firstly, you have to beat Radagon of the Golden Order before you can take on Elden Beast, the soul of the Elden Ring.

The confrontations with Radagon and Elden Beast are difficult because they both deal out a lot of damage, and both have lethal grab attacks. Long, delayed attack chains are a favorite of Radagon in particular. Additionally, Radagon possesses several attacks that inflict AOE harm either instantly or later. The limited amount of moves on both bosses at least makes learning patterns simpler. Radagon's triple hammer ground slam is his most dangerous move. When he raises his right hand above his head, you'll know it's coming.  The first two show up fast, one after the another, but the third one is late. None of them, notably the third hammer slam, should ever hit you. Just try to get behind him by dodging in his direction.

The battle with Elden Beast is a bit different. My tip is to stay under the boss during the fight or behind if an AOE attack is about to be deployed. The hardest part is keeping up with the enemy, as Elden Beast will swim away from the other side of the arena randomly. The grab is Elden Beast's most dangerous attack. Bear in mind that it may not always be possible to dodge it. Its left hand will light to form a distinct yellow ball with a black core just before it begins. To avoid it, either keep away from it or dodge into the boss. In general, this fight will be long, be patient, practice, and keep trying. Here you can find additional useful tips that might help you.

Elden Ring boss-4

Starscourge Radahn

Starscourge Radahn can be found through a portal at Redmane Castle in Caelid. You must start the Radahn Festival event to access this boss fight. Its weaknesses are Pierce damage, Magic, Fire, Scarlet Rot, and Lightning. Even though Starscourge Radahn is one of the game's toughest bosses, you can defeat him with enough patience, practice, and smart strategies.

At the begging of the fight, he will fire arrows at you, and it's crucial to dodge them before they land. Depending on the characters that players have met, there will be up to five NPC summons available at the beginning.  Radahn will ride around on his horse and swing violently as players get closer to him.  He will vanish at the end of phase one and reappear as a falling star. He is more aggressive and magically powerful this time. While he is preoccupied with NPC summons, you must remain mounted and use aggression. Those summons will die eventually, but they can be resurrected.

Elden Ring boss-5

Radahn can be defeated on your own if you aren't a ranged player or the summons are taking too long. Even for physical fighters, it can be advisable to use Torrent to hit and run away from Radahn because of his extreme strength and powerful strikes. Radahn can move around with surprising agility for such a large boss. Any of his magical attacks should be of particular concern. Run for the hills whenever you see him recharging his weapons with purple energy. No matter what, he strikes forcefully, so try to avoid being hit. Be patient, and it will definitely be a long fight.

This was a ranking of Elden Ring's toughest bosses. If I have to choose one key piece of advice to help you with these Bosses, it would be practice and more practice. If you need any additional Elden Ring guides, pieces of information, items, or runes, you can get them from MMOGAH. And one last thing, don't forget to have fun!
