What Is Aloalo Island

Aloalo Island is a new variant dungeon introduced in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.51. It is a level 90 dungeon that can be accessed after completing the main scenario quest, "The Final Days". In this dungeon, you will explore a mysterious island with your Matanga guide, Matsya, and encounter various enemies, puzzles, and secrets. Unlike other dungeons, Aloalo Island has multiple routes and endings that depend on the choices you make along the way. There are 12 possible routes, each with a different final boss and a different conservation record that you can earn in the V&C Dungeon Finder. Completing all 12 routes will reward you with a special achievement and a spectral statice mount.

How to Enter

To unlock Aloalo Island, you need to complete the quest "Aloalo Island Expedition" given by Pasasun at The Great Work in Thavnair. You will also need to have unlocked the V&C Dungeon Finder by completing the quest "The Variant Chronicles" given by V'kebbe at The Crystarium. Once you have both quests done, you can access Aloalo Island from the V&C Dungeon Finder menu.

All 12 Routes

The dungeon starts with a choice of three paths: left, middle, or right. Each path leads to a different area of the island and a different set of challenges. The left path takes you to a beach where you will encounter some pirates and a lalafell treasure hunter. The middle path takes you to a forest where you will encounter some wildlife and a miqo'te botanist. The right path takes you to a temple where you will encounter some ancient statues and a fairy. Depending on your actions and interactions in each area, you will unlock one of the 12 conservation records. Here is a brief summary of each record and how to get it:

• Conservation Record 1: A Not-quite Deserted Island. Follow the left path and tell Matsya to press on when he wants to fish. Let the enemies attack the lalafell until he runs away, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 2: The First Settlers of Aloalo Island. Follow the left path and tell Matsya to press on when he wants to fish. Heal the lalafell and help him defeat the enemies, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 3: The Pirate King's Treasure. Follow the left path and let Matsya fish. Give him bait from the sand pile on the right, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 4: The Pirate Queen's Treasure. Follow the left path and let Matsya fish. Give him bait from the stone pile on the left, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 5: The Island's Natural Bounty. Follow the middle path and ignore the flowers. Proceed to the final boss as normal.

• Conservation Record 6: The Island's Hidden Threat. Follow the middle path and step into the flowered bushes. Scare off both sets of rats, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 7: The Island's Secret Garden. Follow the middle path and kill the treant enemy before the caterpillars. Kill the caterpillars on the sigil, then proceed to the final boss without attacking the miqo'te.

• Conservation Record 8: The Island's Unwanted Guest. Follow the middle path and kill the treant enemy before the caterpillars. Kill the caterpillars on the sigil, then attack the miqo'te before the final boss.

• Conservation Record 9: The Island's Ancient Guardians. Follow the right path and fix the statues. Ask the fairy for secrets, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 10: The Island's Lost History. Follow the right path and fix the statues. Deny the fairy three times and ignore the treasures, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 11: The Island's Cursed Treasure. Follow the right path and fix the statues. Deny the fairy three times and fight the mimic chest in the middle, then proceed to the final boss.

• Conservation Record 12: The Island's Secret Boss. Follow the right path and deny the fairy. Perform the rituals described in the notebook entries, loot the treasure hunter, place the statues (sparrow first, whale second, turtle last), and the secret boss will appear.
