Lords of the Fallen is an action role-playing game that challenges players to fight against the fallen lords and their army of corrupted creatures. The game features a classless character customization system that allows players to improve their stats and skills by spending LotF Vigor, the main currency in the game. Vigor can be obtained by killing enemies, selling items, or completing quests. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to this dark fantasy world, mastering the art of levelling can significantly enhance your experience. In this article, we will show you some specific methods to level up fast in Lords of the Fallen.

LotF Level Up Guide

Method 1: Farm Vigor in Umbral Realm

Umbral Realm is the alternate dimension that players enter when they die. The Umbral Realm is more dangerous than the normal world, as it spawns more enemies and stronger variants of them. However, it also offers more rewards, as the enemies drop more Vigor and items. Moreover, the longer players stay in the Umbral Realm, the higher the Vigor multiplier becomes, up to 3.0x. This means that players can earn three times more Vigor than usual by killing enemies in the Umbral Realm.

One of the best places to farm Vigor in the Umbral Realm is the Vestige of Blind Agatha in Pilgrim's Perch, where players can kill the Ardent Penitent and the Pilgrims repeatedly, and also encounter the Scarlet Shadows, which drop a huge amount of Vigor and Umbral Scourings. To kill the Ardent Penitent in 10 seconds or less, teleport to the Vestige and immediately sprint past him. Keep running forward, and before hitting falling down the ledge, make a sharp turn or dodge to the side. The Ardent Penitent, who should be charging at players by this point, should then fall off the ledge and die immediately. Take out the Pilgrim to the left, pick up the Vigor wisps, then return to the Vestige to do it all over again.

To kill the Scarlet Shadows, players should try to fling them off the platform by baiting them to the edge and using Soulflay on them. Use the spine bridge and the beams near the platform to bait the reaper into position. The Scarlet Shadows drop anywhere between 3,000 and 9,000 Vigor, along with five Umbral Scourings, which can be used to upgrade weapons and armor.

Method 2: Use Vigor Skulls

Vigor Skulls are consumable items that grant a temporary boost to the Vigor multiplier. Vigor Skulls can be found in chests, dropped by enemies, or bought from merchants. They come in different qualities, such as Common, Rare, or Legendary, and each quality has a different effect on the multiplier. For example, a Common Vigor Skull increases the multiplier by 0.1x for 60 seconds, while a Legendary Vigor Skull increases it by 0.5x for 120 seconds. By using Vigor Skulls, players can maximize their Vigor gain from killing enemies, especially in the Umbral Realm. However, players should be careful not to die while using Vigor Skulls, as they will lose the effect and waste the item.

Method 3: Equip Moth Ring

LotF Moth Ring is a unique ring that increases the Vigor multiplier by 0.2x. The Moth Ring can be obtained by completing the side quest "The Last Traitor", which involves finding and killing the traitor monk in the Monastery. The Moth Ring is a very useful item for leveling up fast, as it provides a permanent boost to the Vigor multiplier, unlike the Vigor Skulls. However, the Moth Ring also has a downside, as it reduces the player's health by 10%. Therefore, players should be careful not to take too much damage while wearing the Moth Ring, and use healing items or spells when necessary.

Method 4: Invest Vigor Wisely

The final method to level up fast in Lords of the Fallen is to invest Vigor wisely in the different attributes and skills of the character. There are six attributes that affect the character's performance: Strength, Vitality, Faith, Endurance, Agility, and Luck. Each attribute has a different effect on the character, such as increasing damage, health, magic, stamina, speed, or critical chance. There are also three skill trees that grant the character various abilities and bonuses: Warrior, Cleric, and Rogue. Each skill tree has a different focus, such as melee combat, magic, or stealth. Players should choose the attributes and skills that suit their playstyle and preferences, and also consider the requirements of the weapons and armor they want to use. For example, if a player wants to use a heavy weapon that requires a lot of Strength, they should invest Vigor in Strength and also in Endurance, to increase their stamina and carry weight.

Conclusion

By following these methods, players can level up fast in Lords of the Fallen, and enjoy the game more. Leveling up fast allows players to access more weapons, armor, and abilities, and also to face enemies and bosses more easily. However, players should also learn the combat mechanics, the enemy patterns, and the boss strategies, and use them to their advantage. Lords of the Fallen is a game that offers a challenging and rewarding experience for fans of action role-playing games, and we hope that this article helps you to level up fast and have fun in the game.
