Gunslinger is one of the best DPS classes in Lost Ark. In this guide, KaidGames2 shows you how to build the best Gunslinger for PvE. Using this build, you would deal the most considerable damage, no matter your character's level. Don't forget that MmoGah has tons of Lost Ark Gold for sale, allowing you to build a powerful Gunslinger with little effort.

About Gunslinger

Gunslinger uses three different weapons to match any fight, making this class powerful for leveling and dungeon farming. She has everything in her kit, including mobility and single-target/AoE damage. As a Gunslinger, you have three different weapons with multiple abilities in each one, so you can never run out of skills to use. At the end game, you can use the Peacemaker Engraving, which will increase all for weapon damage.

This build synergizes well with great debuff from Spiral Tracker, Equilibrium, and Dexterous Shot skills. Also, by rotating between these skills, you will keep your enemies debuffed and increase your entire party's damage.

Skill Setup

Gunslinger has 16 different abilities in total, and you will be able to use all of them. But not every single ability should be upgraded. Therefore, this guide only shows you the skills you need to upgrade, and you'll want to keep the rest of your weapon skills at level 1.

If you haven't reached level 50 yet, then below is a specific guide to the abilities you should upgrade first while leveling:

Level 12: Quick Step (4 points) and Somersalt Shot (4 points) for mobility

Level 20-21: Equilibrium (48 points) for damage and AoE clearing

Level 30: Death Fire (48 points) for damage and AoE clearing

Level 38: Focused Shot (48 points) for single target burst with AoE

Level 45: Sharpshooter (48 points) for AoE clearing

Level 48: Perfect Shot (20 points) for damage

Gear and Weapon

Focus on equipping as high item-level gear as you can. At the end game, you should have 1250 Crit and 350 Swiftness. Again, if you haven't reached level 50 yet, try to have around 80% stats in Crit and 20% stats in Swiftness.

You use the 252-point build at the start, and then by leveling up and completing quests, you will get more points. So keep on improving your skills and getting higher-tier Runes as well.

Skill Description

Spiral Tracker, Equilibrium, and Dexterous Shot are used to deal damage and apply a debuff on the enemy, lowering their Crit resistance.

Peacekeeper and Last Request are your main two counter-attack skills that will do damage and throw your enemies in the air.

Whenever you want to move around the enemy or need more mobility in general, use the following three skills: Dexterous Shot, Quick Step, and Somersault Shot.

Catastrophe will stagger and stun your enemies in end-game dungeons.

The rest of your skills are just pure-damage abilities. When you need more mobility or to fight at close range, use the Pistols. For medium to long-range DPS, use your Shotgun and Rifle skills.

Last but not least, when using your Awakening skill, High-Caliber HE Bullet, you will quickly move behind the enemy and then shoot one single bullet, doing massive amounts of damage. So you can use the skill when fighting a boss or above-average mob.

Engravings

Firstly, grab Peacemaker, Hit Master, and Adrenaline, and then get Keen Blunt Weapon, Grudge, and Cursed Doll.

Peacemaker

The Peacemaker provides extra attack speed for Pistol mobility skills and boosts the damage of your Shotgun and Rifle skills. This Engraving only needs to be level 1 because the additional levels offer very little damage increase.

Hit Master

You'll want to use Hit Master because most of your skills don't have a positional attack modifier.

Adrenaline

This Engraving increases your Crit rate, and it is easily stackable with the amount of Gunslinger skills you will use.

Keen Blunt Weapon

You want to get the Keen Blunt Weapon because as your build has more than 70% Crit rate, getting increased Crit damage will be handy to increase your overall damage.

Grudge

Grudge is a more advanced Engraving that is recommended for Tier 3 content. Grudge is the most efficient Engraving against mobs, increasing your damage. But you will take 20% more damage in return. Therefore, make sure you don't use Grudge until you get to the Tier 3 content. Also, before using it, get it to at least level 2 because this Engraving is not that efficient at level 1.

Cursed Doll

This is a significant attack power increase at the cost of a 25% healing penalty. However, the penalty can be offset by paying more attention to dodging red AoE circles and using healing potions more often.

Cards

Shandi

Azena and Inanna

Nineveh

Wei

Balthorr

Trirain

These cards are an end-game system for maximizing your character, so you don't have to get them right away. But these specific Cards will optimize your damage output in PvE even more.

Best Skill Rotation to Use

Firstly, use Pistols. When you need to reposition or deal basic damage, use Quick Step, Somersault Shot, Dexterous Shot, or Peacekeeper. Also, it is recommended to save your Space bar for canceling long skill animations.

The Highest Damage Rotation

Use Pistols: Spiral Tracker/Equilibrium/Dexterous Shot → Rifles: Target Down and Focused Shot → Shotgun: Dual Buckshot, Sharpshooter, and Shorgun Rapid Fire → Rifle: Perfect Shot

By using one of the four Pistol skills: Quick Step, Somersault Shot, Dexterous Shot, and Peacekeeper, you applied a debuff to enemies. Next, in the following 6-12 seconds, use your most valuable and shorter-cooldown skills. In this way, you would be able to maximize your damage in this rotation.

Conclusion

You want to use your Pistols for mobility and debuffs. For pure damage, you need to use the Shotgun and Rifle, depending on how close you are to the enemy. Remember that you can use your Space bar to cancel the long animation skills, but only do this if you see that the enemy is about to deal heavy damage.

Lastly, this build has too many skills, and you don't have to use all of them for maximum damage. So keep in mind what each ability does and what it is meant for. Also, keep doing the highest damage rotation and, depending on the fight, switch your weapons to reposition or deal damage.
