According to the announcement of Amazon Games at Gamescom's Opening Night Live on Wednesday, their upcoming PC MMO, New World, is getting an open beta from September 9 to September 12, ahead of its September 28 release date.
After just going through the New World closed beta, we may have a general understanding of the game. Then what will the upcoming open beta bring us this time? What should we know before the test? MmoGah will introduce you to some details, and I hope these can be helpful.
Background
They found server issues and over-population problems during closed beta, which result in long queue time, preventing some players from being able to experience the danger and beauty found in Aeternum. So in order to ensure that everyone has a chance to experience New World ahead of their September 28 launch, Amazon will hold an open beta test. Steam's new Playtest feature will be used in this open beta test, allowing all interested players in supported regions to request access to the test for free. Meanwhile, North American servers, European servers, Australian servers, and South American servers will be available.
The public beta will give players a chance to check out New World before the release of the game. It also makes the developer stress test the servers. So it is clear that there will undoubtedly be a large influx of players this time.
There is also a new trailer featuring the supernatural world of New World.
New World Open Beta Release Time
Open beta will begin on September 9 at 7:00 AM PT (2:00 PM UTC) and end on September 12 at 11:59 PM PT (6:59 AM UTC). If you are interested in it, you can request access beginning on September 8 at 7:00 AM PT (2:00 PM UTC).
How to Access New World Open Beta?
You need to wait until the day before the event starts (September 8, 2021, at 7 AM PT / 3 PM BST. ) in order to access the MMO open beta. Then you need to request access by heading to the official New World Steam page, where an option to join in will appear.
So, if you want to play the beta in September, make sure to head on over to the Steam store page and request access by finding the option to request access using the Steam Playtest tool. This way allows you to play the game shortly after access has been granted to your Steam account.
When you have access, you are able to experience everything there is to do in New World in a short amount of time since the beta will end in three days. During this time, you could craft weapons and armor using the in-depth crafting system, level skills, and farm monsters.
What Can We Do in New World Open Beta?
It is best to use the beta as a way to explore many of the features that will be in the full release, such as PvE, crafting, and many PvP elements and events players can take part in. At the same time, make sure to play around with the resource gathering because it is one of the game's strongest points.
At the same time, you can also experience the endgame content known as expeditions, where players can take on large dungeons for rare loot and more.
New World System Requirements for PC
Before signing up as a New World tester or pre-purchasing a copy of the game, you'll need to make sure your hardware stacks up to the MMO's minimum system requirements. These are all the components when you want to run New World's beta (and the full game) on your PC:
Minimum System Requirements
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2400 / AMD CPU with 4 physical cores @ 3Ghz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 or better
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 35 GB available space
Additional Notes: Internet connection required to play, offers in-game purchases
Recommended System Requirements
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 64-bit

Thankfully, you don't need a top-of-the-line PC in order to meet the recommended system requirements for New World, so if your machine is a few years old or just not that powerful, you should (hopefully) be able to run the game without issue.
Warm Reminder
It's worth noting that the developer warned on the open beta FAQ page that there might be some queue times during the beta test. And the progress made in open beta will not continue to the full game. So ultimately, what happens in beta stays in beta, but it's a good chance to experiment with some builds and features of the game before launch.
In the End
Apart from all that we've mentioned above, you can find more through checking New World official website. Don't hesitate to join the game, and you will find many treasures and surprises on this fantasy island. Last but not least, if you want to buy New World Coins, our website will sell them once the game begins. We will often compare our peers to set the appropriate price.
