Jumping into a new WoW expansion can be harder at the beginning, and Battle for Azeroth is no different. You will have a whole new continent to explore and lots of options at your hand, when you first start the questing experience.
Recommended Zone Order
If a zone appeals better to you, you should choose the order that suits you best!
For Alliance, the most efficient zone order is Drustvar > Tiragarde Sound > Stormsong Valley.
For Horde, the most efficient zone order is Vol'dun > Zuldazar > Nazmir.
The harder zones are Drustvar and Vol'dun. While you're still wearing Legion gear, the quests there requiring more grinding and being easier to do. Once your stats start dropping considerably, the harder zones will be out of the way.
Level with War Mode or not
Before the beginning, you must decide whether enable War Mode or not. Anyway, your objectives will remain the same. You must complete all quest content to unlock flying later on and your War Campaign and Allied Race requirements. War Mode provides an experience buff as well as the enabling of three PvP talents that will increase your power. War Mode enables 10% bonus experience, 10% better rewards from World Quests, and allows for the gathering of Conquest points which can be used to buy wow gear.
The new expansion’s War Mode puts you into PvP mode and grants you 10 percent extra experience. If you start getting killed by random PvP players consistently, stop using it. Since it’s not worth dying every few minutes.
Note: Don’t turn War Mode on until you accept the first quest from Magni. He will send you back to your capital city, then you can turn it on, in that way you can accept the first quest without getting killed by other players.
Unlock Mission Tables
Once you are in the new areas, select your initial zone, pick up your two profession quests, and then head out into your selected area. You select’s location is largely irrelevant, since you will need to do the story and quests in each zone to unlock World Quests and work on your Pathfinder achievement progress.
One of the new quests will acquire 100 War Resources. This quest and these resources will be key into your character development.
Do quests and complete your first chosen area’s story before returning to your acquired all of the equipment items. When you complete your first area, you should be around Level 113. When you select your second zone, head to your faction hub ship to acquire your mission table and champion quests. Complete this introduction and then pick up the quest to establish your first foothold in enemy territory.
WoW Leveling Tips
Don't supply green or better gear
Even if you're not an enchanter, you can scrap BFA gear for reagents. More importantly, Expulsom is the new expansion’s Blood of Sargeras, used in many 120 crafts.
Quest to the end of every zone
Each zone’s final storyline quest offers a piece of 280 Azerite gear that will aid on your leveling and give your gear a nice wow item level bump, when you complete the quest regardless of what level you're at. Non-Azerite pieces of gear will only reach that item level around level 119.
Skip dungeons
With the experience changes to dungeons with Patch 8.0, it isn't worth running them anymore. You can grind dungeons while you have a quest for them, but those only grant a few extra experience and wow gold.
