WoW Battle for Azeroth patch 8.2 - Rise of Azshara will come on June 25. This is Battle for Azeroth's second major update, and it is WoW’s seventh expansion pack.
For those frustrated by Battle for Azeroth's wonky Heart of Azeroth and Azerite Armor progression systems, Rise of Azshara should be a welcome update, because it introduces massive reworks that aim to make grinding for better gear a much more enjoyable process. It includes the ability to use your flying mounts in Kul’Tias and Zuldazar, a new raid in Azshara’s Eternal Palace, a new mega-dungeon in Mechagon, update to the War Campaign, a new Pet Battle dungeon, and a lot more. The patch will also contain the usual class balancing and changes that come with every WoW patch.
The Rise of Azshara content update is packed with new features:
Heart of Azeroth system update: Essences
Two new zones to explore: Nazjatar and Mechagon Island
Heritage Armor for Tauren and Gnomes
New Benthic gear
New Raid: Azshara’s Eternal Palace
New Mount Equipment System
New Quests
New Epic Battleground: Ashran
New Island Expeditions
New Missions and Mechanics
Flying in Kul Tiras and Zandalar
Mounts
New Pet Battles Dungeon: Stratholme
Transmogrification Updates
Brewfest Update
Dungeons and Raids
Items and rewards
Leveling
Player versus Player season 3
Professions
Quests and World Quests
The war campaign continues: stay of execution
Mythic Keystone season 3
Pathfinder Part 2
The patch also hopes to fix some of the persistent problems with an overhauled Essence system for the Heart of Azeroth artifact necklace, which should introduce more decision making and fun abilities into the system.
Rise of Azshara is an interesting patch because it is perceived as a Hail Mary for a struggling expansion. Players meet the problems in many aspects of Battle for Azeroth, from Warfronts to the Azerite system to the overarching lore. This new content patch is close to an expansion launch in scope, and it promises to solve players’ core issues. Rise of Azshara will be competing with its own product in World of Warcraft Classic, which is currently in beta.
Distinct zones: Nazjatar and Mechagon will be full of quests that push the main story forward. Rise of Azshara also adds flying for those who complete a long series of achievements, new equipment and armor, including stuff for your mounts so they can walk on water and Heroic-difficulty Warfronts. There are two new Island Expeditions too: Crestfall and Snowblossom Village.
Raid Unlock Schedule:
July 9 US / July 10 EU - Normal and Heroic Difficulties
July 16 US / July 17 EU - Mythic and Raid Finder Wing 1
July 30 US / July 31 EU - Raid Finder Wing 2

It's a lot of exciting stuff, and even if patch 8.2 doesn't end up fixing everything that players don't like about Battle for Azeroth, it's always exciting to get some new areas to explore.
