Lightning Arrow Deadeye Leveling Setup

Equipment

● For Equipment, keep checking Vendors to see if you can find a Bow upgrade. The more damage mods, the better. Your Quiver can offer good offensive stats.

● Look for the basics for other gear like Life, Resistances, and Evasion. Spirit on Body Armour is a nice bonus to run extra things like Vitality, but not mandatory.

Skill Gems

Support Gem Requirements: Str 10/Dex 35/Int 25

● Clarity is helpful if you need more Mana to sustain. Suppose you have extra Spirit on the Amulet/Body Armour. You can stick to Wind Dancer + Herald of Thunder if you don't have the Spirit.

● Orb of Storms is used for a single target. Combine it with a lightning rod to shoot the boss extremely quickly. You don't care about their damage since OoS is used to proc lightning rods. Keep it low level to reduce your Intelligence requirement.

Passive Tree

How it Plays

Put down Lightning Rod and blast away with Lightning Arrow. Freezing Salvo builds up missiles/charges over time and is used against rares/bosses.

Against bosses, place down lots of Lightning Rod and use Orb of Storms to melt them.

Lightning Arrow Deadeye is currently one of the best map farmers in the game, but it also has very high boss damage with the help of cast-on shock/ball lightning. You can change to this build once you finish the Campaign.

1. Phys or Ele for bow?

a. Early on, it doesn't matter to get the highest DPS.

b. For endgame BiS, phys/cold bow will win out.

c. +1 arrow is nice but not mandatory. It'll improve your clearing.

2. Do you do price checks?

No, avoid linking items to price checks. Just use the trade website and learn yourself.

3. How to get hideout

You'll find it randomly on maps. It'll have "hideout" in it's name.

4. What does it mean when a rare item has "Tier 3" or "Tier 2" in its name?

Essentially, those roll better on average, making them more worth picking up.

5. How do I fix Mana?

a. Try getting Mana on a kill from your Quiver, ring, or jewel. 1-2 mana rolls on gear can also help. The jewel mod is “Recovery #% of mana on kill”

b. If you don't have thief's torment, then use inspiration in your cast on shock setup.

c. Mental toughness on the passive tree, 3 points for mana cost reduction/mana regen.

6. How do I get 100 spirits in the Campaign?

Act 1 King of the Mist (30 spirits) / Act 3 azak bog (30 spirits) / Act 6 azak bog (40 spirits).

7. Bow stat priority?

Pure phys/cold bow is bis. But the highest DPS for starting out is fine. Ideally, you want a +1 arrow for the clear speed.

8. 3rd Ascendancy/5th and 6th point?

Need a Djinn Coin (Sanctum) with 3 trials or 7 wave ultimatum.

9. How do I get my 4th ascendancy?

Floor 4 djinn (sanctum) or 10 wave ultimatum.

10. What did you choose for Vials?

Act 3 - ailments, Act 6 - chaos res.

11. How to freeze enemies with Herald of Ice?

a. Cold infusion on your main links.

b. Flat cold damage on bow/quiver can be all you need if the rolls are high enough.

c. If you still aren't freezing, try Apshyxia's Wrath (Quiver) or Polcirkeln (ring).

d. Glaciation on your 6l for lightning arrow if you still need to freeze.

e. Freeze buildup on jewels can also help.

f. Amulet anoint "Essence of the Mountain" (expensive, but very strong for freeze).

12. How to get Atlas Boss Passives?

a. Kill the boss of each mechanic in areas lvl 79, 80, 81, and 82 (t16, Corrupted, Irradiated).

b. The last 2 points are from the pinnacle boss.

13. How do I find citadels/finish the Pinnacle of Flame quest?

Citadels are randomly spawned on your atlas. They're pretty rare, and there are 3 different ones. Each one drops a different fragment. Once you acquire all 3 fragments, you can fight the pinnacle boss in the burning monolith. (Or buy the fragments from trade).

14. I'm not shocked by the lightning rod, and my cast on the shock isn't working. What can I do?

a. Try selfcasting the voltaic mark and/or shooting 1-2 lightning arrows to start the loop.

b. Once you have the ball lightnings going out, you just want to spam the lightning rod.

15. I Can't activate my cast on shock. Why?

You need to put your skill gem first (so ball lightning).

16. How do I get breach atlas points?

a. Collect 300 splinters and kill the breach boss in the breachstone.

b. Splinters drop in t11+ maps.

17. How do you shoot 3 or 5 arrows?

+1 from deadeye ascendancy, +1 from bow implicit or suffix. You can also steal +2 arrows with Headhunter at times.
