Slayer is one of the most profitable skills in the game of Old School RuneScape. But a lot of slayer tasks give really crappy drops. This Slayer money making guide contains some of the best Slayer monsters that would earn you a lot of OSRS Gold.

Please click for more information about YouTuber SlainMisfitOSRS who made this guide, and all the content in this article is quoted from his video:

Cockatrice

Combat level: 37

Attack style: Melee

Location: Fremennik Slayer Cave

Requirements: 25 Slayer, Mirror Shield

Always Drops: Bones

When fighting these monsters, the shield must be equipped, or else your stats will be drastically reduced.

They always drop Bones, but they also drop a plethora of other things: Iron boots, Herbs, Runes, Limpwurt roots etc. You can make a couple hundred thousand RuneScape 2007 Gold here every few hours. So for the low slayer level players, this would work well for you if you haven’t really learned to make money elsewhere.

Basilisks

Combat level 61

Attack style: Melee

Location: Fremennik Slayer Cave

Requirements: 40 Slayer, Mirror Shield

Always Drops: Bones

Without the mirror shield, your stats will be greatly reduced. This is a straightforward task, and you could make 200-300K OSRS Gold here easily.

Blue Dragons

Combat level 111

Attack style: Melee

Location: Taverley Dungeon

Drops: Always Drops: Dragon Bones and Blue Dragonhide

Requirements: Anti-dragon shield/dragonfire shield. What will also help with these is antifire potion, extended antifire potion. So if you have either shield, this will fully protect you from the dragon’s breath.

You could easily make 300-400K OSRS Gold here. There is a slayer task only location here if you find it, you can do your slayer tasks there much easier than you would be able to in the standard area where people camp. So if you are on the slayer task, I recommend going to a task only area.

Turoths

Combat level: 83, 85, 87, 89

Attack style: Melee

Location: Fremennik Slayer Cave

Requirements: 55 Slayer, Leaf Bladed Spear, Leaf Bladed Sword, Leaf Bladed Battleaxe, or Broad Bolts for ranged.

Always drops: Bones

The Leaf Bladed Battleaxe is the best of the three Leaf Bladed weapons, and it does the most damage.

Turoths drop Seeds, Herbs, Runes, weapons, and some armour.

It is recommended to bring Nature runes and a fire staff or fire runes with you in case you get some good drop that are alchable. You can make 1M OSRS Gold here in a day if you camp them.

Dust Devils

Combat level: 93

Attack style: Melee

Location: Smoke Dungeon

Requirement: 65 Slayer, At least started the Desert Treasure quest, Facemask/Slayer Helm

Always Drops: Bones

If you don’t have a Facemask or Slayer Helm, the smoke in the dungeon will significantly damage you.

Dust Devils have the chance of dropping Dragon Chainbody (very rare) as well as Runes and other drops, so you if you can get the Dragon Chainbody, you’ll make yourself some money here.

Aberrant spectres

Combat level: 96

Attack style: Magic

Location: Second Floor of Canifis Slayer Tower, Gnome Stronghold Slayer Cave

Requirement: 60 Slayer, Nose peg/Slayer helmet

Always Drops: Nothing

A nose peg or slayer helmet is required when fighting Aberrant spectres; if you do not, their attacks will always hit and drain your combat stats extremely fast.

They never constantly drop something and you may kill these and get nothing every now and then. But due to the fact they frequently drop large amounts of grimy herbs and herb seeds, it is recommended that you bring a herb sack and seed box when killing them. So you can camp these and make tons of OSRS Gold, however, this is going to be a little time consuming.

Kurasks

Combat level: 106

Attack style: Melee

Location: Fremennik Slayer cave

Requirements: 70 Slayer, Leaf Bladed Spear, Leaf Bladed Sword, Leaf Bladed Battleaxe, or Broad Bolts for ranged

Always drops: Big Bones

Again, the Battleaxe is by far the best to use here. The drops are awesome here. They drop a bunch of noted items: noted white berries, noted Limpwurt root, noted Papaya, noted flax. There is also up to 10K GP per drop. So you can easily make a couple million RSGP here per day just by camping them.

Abyssal Demons

Combat level: 124

Attack Style: Melee

Location: Top floor of the slayer tower in Canifis, the basement of the Canifis Slayer Tower(Task only), the Catacombs of Kourend and Abyssal Area

Requirement: 85 Slayer

Always drops: Ashes

They used to be the only creatures in the game to drop much abyssal whips. Now we have the Abyssal demon boss – Abyssal Sire which can drop abyssal whips as well as the abyssal dagger and the parts to make the abyssal bludgeon.

You can make pretty good money here. They drop the abyssal whip from time to time and ensouled abyssal heads as well as Runes and other things that can earn you a good amount of Old School RuneScape Gold.

Dark Beasts

Combat level: 182

Attack style: Melee/Magic

Location: Mourner Tunnels and Dragon’s Den

Requirements: 90 Slayer

Always drops: Big bones

Dark beasts are fantastic, because they give great XP, and they have pretty good drops. They drop the dark bow which is worth a very good bit of money.

Gargoyles

Combat level: 111

Attack style: Melee

Location: Top floor of the Canifis Slayer Tower, basement of the Canifis Slayer Tower(Task only)

Requirements: 75 Slayer, Rock Hammer

You’ll not be able to kill a Gargoyle unless you have the Rock Hammer which you can purchase from any Slayer master. You can also purchase the ability to use the Rock Hammer automatically on the Gargoyles once their health is low enough.

They drop a ton of Runes, Herbs, noted Pure essence as well as the Granite maul which you can get on occasion. You can get a good amount of RuneScape 2007 Gold and XP by killing these monsters.

Skeletal Wyverns

Combat level: 140

Location: Asgarnian Ice Dungeon

Requirements: 72 Slayer, Elemental Workshop quest, Elemental Shield, or Dragonfire Shield

Always drops: Wyvern bones

Elemental Workshop quest is the requirement because you need either a Dragonfire shield or an Elemental Shield to kill Skeletal Wyvern

They always drop Wyvern bones which are worth good money. They also drop a bunch of noted stuff.

Skeletal Wyvern are by far one of the best Slayer monsters for Old School RuneScape Gold in the game. So I would highly recommend working on Slayer and do what are shown in this guide.
