Essential Survival Tips – Slot a Solid Self-Heal Skill
For those of you who simply want to survive, finish this event, and get event tickets, here is what you can do to prepare for the dungeons.
Before entering the dungeon, no matter what your role is, make sure to equip a reliable self-healing skill that doesn't require dealing damage to activate, like Resolving Vigor. This is important because, during the Undaunted Celebration event, players who are not Tanks or Healers may join dungeons and take on these roles without equipping a taunt or a healing skill for their allies. Therefore, it's essential to take care of your own healing by having solid healing skills and some potions on your quick bar.
Finding a Group
If you want to quickly get your daily dungeon, keep an eye on zone or guild chat, or check the Activity Finder tab for the following messages sent by other players:
"looking for more (LFM)"
"looking for group (LFG)"
"fungal grotto (FG)"
Many players believe that Fungal Grotto is the easiest dungeon because it is accessible to players starting at level 10, and you only need to defeat two bosses to complete it.
Remember to avoid searching for "fungal grotto farm." If you only want to do one run, don't join groups looking for farming Fungal Grotto.
If you don't see anyone asking in the chats, you can always use the in-game dungeon queue system to queue for normal Fungal Grotto. The queue should pop pretty fast with others also looking for an easy dungeon run.
How to Survive Fungal Grotto with PUGs (Pick-Up Groups)
Now that you're in the dungeon, you can quickly assess if the group is going to go one of two ways:
Option 1
There will be a standard dungeon group with a Tank that gathers up trash packs and defeats at least the first two bosses before leaping off the cliff, swimming, and navigating up the ledge to confront the final boss.
Option 2
It is more likely that they will be speedrunners, meaning as soon as they load in, they will start running. With this type of group, you need to do your best to keep up with whoever is leading the charge.
There will most likely be a fake Tank running past all the mod enemies to get to the second boss room as quickly as possible. If enemies block your path, you can roll dodge through them and use your self-heal and potions as needed. By the time you reach the second boss, they will probably have already defeated it. So, keep following them. They will jump off the waterfall and swim across the water to reach the location of the last boss. Pay attention to where they jump up and do your best to get up on the ledge. Following the leader to the final boss's location is essential to ensure proximity for looting and receiving credit. Staying close to the person leading the charge is key to obtaining rewards and completing the mission successfully.
Dungeon Enthusiast Event Rewards
For those who are more adventurous and enthusiasts of dungeons, there are additional rewards to keep an eye out for:
1. Box Rewards
The Undaunted Reward Boxes contain new style pages, dungeon motifs, opal monster style weapon pages, and more. Many people farm Fungal Grotto for these rewards. To ensure a successful run through Fungal Grotto, it is essential to be well equipped with helpful gear and weapons in ESO.
2. Bonus Dungeon Gear
Along with the previous rewards from the Undaunted Reward Boxes, you have a chance to receive increased dungeon gear drops. You will obtain your regular curated gear pieces from all the bosses, with the final boss specifically dropping weapon or jewelry pieces. Additionally, the reward box you loot from the final boss will contain another curated gear piece.
It is highly recommended to bind any gear pieces you still need from the dungeon before opening the Undaunted Reward Box. This will ensure that the gear you receive is still required for your sticker book collection. The specific item is not determined until you open the box, so avoid checking before you bind the gear.
For PC users, consider getting the "Loot Log" add-on. It offers great features, including an auto-bind command for easy gear binding.
3. Opal Monster Helm Style Pages
The Undaunted Celebration offers a chance for Monster helm style pages to drop when running the following dungeons on Veteran difficulty.
